Default Everyone join in on this one!

I don't care if you have lost 10 lbs or 300 tell us something good that has come from the weight you have lost so far! Some of these POSTERS need some real encouragement! IF YOU ARE DEPRESSED OR FEELING LIKE GIVING UP, READ WHAT THESE OTHER FOLKS HAVE DONE AND KNOW THAT YOU CAN TOO!

For me it is being able to walk 3.4 miles yesterday when in January I couldn't walk from the parking lot to a department store!

Being able to paint my toenails! Not having to tilt the seat back because my belly rubs the steering wheel (there is 2 inch space now!) Seatbelts that fasten in anyone's car! Sharing with other people what has happened to me to try and get them to get serious about their health too!

Being able to buy sexy undies instead of just functional ones!

Having endurance and energy during the day!

Faye

Having the kids I teach at school hug me and say "hey look, I can put my arms all the way around you!"

Wearing clothes I couldn't wear 2 months ago.

The very best: feeling so GOOD, physically and mentally.

Being able to buy clothes I like instead of just the biggest ones in the store.

Being able to get out of bed in the morning without being in pain.

Being able to fit comfortably into a restaurant booth instead of having to squeeze into it.

Not having to worry about seatbelts not fitting around me.

Going to the State Fair with my kids this weekend, and for the very first time, I'll be able to ride the rides with them!!

Great thread, Faye!

Something good from losing so far is:

Having more breath.

Being able to get on the floor to play with the grandkids and being able to get back up.

Watching the numbers on the scale going down.

Much less knee and foot pain.

No more heartburn!

Fitting into smaller clothes and knowing even smaller ones are on the way.

But most of all - being in control of my own body and of my own actions.

GOOD IDEA

November 2, we had a housefire. Two rooms destroyed...most of the other house & lots of belongings ruined. (won't go into the long details...) About half of our clothes were usable, after several washings. I went into depression....& turned to food. Gained 40 lbs in 6 months! Well...needless to say, I couldn't wear the clothes. They were size 10, & I needed 14 (At least!). Money being tight...I kept wearing the same couple of things that I could still "squeeze" into. Gave myself a good talking to....joined a weightloss forum...then, also, found this one. I've lost 32 lbs! I'm back in my size 10's, with only a few pounds to go.
The house on the other hand...isn't going so fast....but it will happen.

After having lost 25lbs. (I'm still trying to lose another 20-25) I was able to lower my blood pressure and get off the medication I was on for good!!

Having my breast not lay on my tummy for support!! That's what bra's are for right??

And the self-esteem boost you get when you see the scale getting closer to your goal!! I don't care how long it takes, the scale will move!! And you'll always jump off the scale and do a happy dance!!!!

Great Idea here

Great idea!!

Being able to run a mile without killing myself, which translates into being able to run and play with my kids and dogs.

Being able to shave my legs standing up.

Being able to tie my shoes and breathe at the same time.

Running up the stairs!

Being able to mount and ride my horse much more gracefully.

Clothes that fit or are loose, not painted on.

Looking in the mirror and seeing muscles starting to show up!!

Hearing my daughter say "Hey Mom, you ARE losing weight! Your tummy doesn't stick out past your boobs anymore!"

Watching my kids get excited about being physical and starting to tell ME things about eating right.

I know there are more... I'll have to write them down as they happen and make sure I post them!

Swimming a half mile instead of working up to a .25 mile.

Feeling comfortable sleeping on my stomach.

Getting all the way through a workout video instead of quitting halfway through.

Fitting into clothes that I couldn't get over my butt 3 months ago.

Having clothes that used to be tight now hang.

Not being afraid to sit on the floor, because I know I can get back up, lol.

Being able to ride rollercoasters ( my fav thing to do!) and other amusement park rides without first having to stand and watch to make sure someone bigger than me fits in the seats first!!
