Default 95 pounds gone, and officially in onederland!!

Over the weekend, I finally reached one of my major goals. ONEDERLAND! There is no more 2 in front of that scale! I know I still have a ways to go but this is definitely a milestone for me. Especially, how at the beginning of this year (january to be exact) I was creeping the 300 mark. I was just 6 pounds away from seeing a 3 on my scale! Now I'm under 2. I can't describe how great it feels to never have to see a 2 in front of the scale.

Of course! I did it by eating at around 1400 cals a day. I eat mostly all healthy foods. You know, lean meats (chicken, turkey, fish) I allow myself to eat beef 1-2 times a week. Yummy beefs too (steaks, burger, lean meatloaf, spaghetti with lean meat, pot roast) Other days, it's mostly chicken of some kind or fish/shrimp. I gave up junk food and fried food. With the exception of once a month, where I allow myself to eat one of my favorite foods (pizza, chinese, wings) You got to, or else you'll be miserable. I still eat the occasional burger, but it's usually bbq'd and using a less fattening kind of beef 91-9 or 96-4, taste great still! Fruits are a big part of my meals. I eat at least 3 fruits a day, they curb my sugar cravings! I still have the occasional chips with my turkey sandwiches, but they are baked cheetos- seriously, they taste like regular cheetos! and they are 34 pieces for 130 cals, so I usually cut that in half (17 cheetos for 65 cals) or have the special k sour cream cracker chips (27 for 110 cals!) Skinnycow icecream sandwiches and blue bunny no sugar added half the fat icecream (butter pecan, is my fav) are my saturday night treats! Moderation is key here. I usually do the serving size and once a week. Veggies, are a must now. Salads, before a meal out is my thing now. I have grown to like veggies. I never used too! Also, I do eat baked potatoes still. But only half and very little butter and lots of pepper! All this has helped food wise. Now exercise, is also a main key to me. I exercise 5 days a week for an hour a day. Elliptical, zumba, and walking/jogging. I do the track on sundays. I do 2 miles right now. It may not be much to some, but it has helped a lot! You really don't need to kill yourself by exercising so much. An hour a day, 5 days a week, will go far! Believe me!

Hope this helps! Sorry so long!

Congratulations, MsBrightside! You are an inspiration to me because we are about the same size and my eating plan is quite similar to yours. I believe in the occasional potato, too!

That's awesome! So great to read this as I just switched from WW to counting calories and am starting at 1440 calories a day. It's awesome to see what kind of future I can look forward to if I keep this up. Onderland is a world I can only dream of....you should be incredibly proud of yourself!
