O-M-G - I lost
5.8 lbs in July. It went slowly down, with a couple of blips up, so I don't think it was just water weight. Some of my old clothes fit again, hooray! And a few days into August I was down another pound to my reasonable happy weight where I spent most of last year (until the evil holidays struck! Yes it took me EIGHT MONTHS to lose 10 lbs

I had to tweak SBD to start losing again. No grains at all, more emphasis on protein (>0.5 g protein/lb of body weight - yes I track everything, total pain in the butt but it is the only thing that has worked for me), no cheese (really only Greek yogurt for dairy) and at least 4 cups of non-starchy veggies every day. <<that last part is supposed to always be a part of SBD but it is easy to let that slide and go for the nuts & cheese instead. At least that has been my experience.
ARGGGG - it has been hard but after months and months of struggling but I feel good that FINALLY I met one goal that I set.
