Hi Apeygirl! First of all I just want to let you know that I have the same type of belly so I can definitely see a difference. It looks like the area around your belly button is smaller and is sinking in a little which is what my belly does when I lose weight. Secondly, I have the same tyle of stretch marks, I had a few before I had my son my post pregnancy belly is full of stretch marks. But back on topic, I can definitely see the difference! Good job

I want to just say that you are amazing for being able to take a photo of your tummy and being confident about it! I have the same tummy, basically, and am so shy and unsure about it. I wish I had the confidence you do!
I do notice a difference between the pictures. Your stomach looks more toned around the sides of the belly button and your waist is smaller! Good job and I look forward to seeing the progress throughout your journey!

Thanks ladies! I am obviously nowhere NEAR where I want to be yet, not even close.. but I decided to compare pictures because I was feeling defeated since my weight has been fluctuating and it has been discouraging, despite working out almost everyday and doing my best to keep at 1500 calories. But I am glad I looked at those pics because I do see a slight difference and it made me just want to keep going. Some progress is better than none, right? Hopefully I will have better pics next month

I See It
Apey,
I see a difference.
I hope you "feel" a difference. I write that because I have noticed that what I "see" when I look in the mirror can be very distorted by my own (often negative) body image/"story".
I can look in the mirror (or at a photo) and see someone with too much weight, when others would tell me that I look great (and mean it)!
Hence, I have gotten in the habit of not relying on my eyes.
Remember the old saying, "I'll believe it when I see it"? Turns out the opposite is actually true: "I'll see it when I believe it".
Keep the faith!
Thanks for reading,
Greg Kuhn

It takes me months for my mind to actually see changes even if I'm looking in a mirror or at a photo I just can't see the loss without hindsight, and then when I was trying to compare shots with loses I got demotivated because I couldnt see anything happening, I have accepted that I will see the same body just smaller so I gotta love it and let it do whatever.. I do notice clothes becoming looser though!

As another one dealing with a similar belly loss, I can definitely see more definition around the belly button and less "overhang" past the crease in the first set. Congrats!

^Every single word said in this post, I was thinking! I have the same belly type as well and my stretchmarks are the same too, so I can also see what the differences are! I have a before/after pic of just losing 2 lbs and one inch but there is a (small) yet visible difference for me because of the type of exercising I've been doing. You're doing great, keep goin' at it!
