No matter what is happening in our lives... good things or not so good things - there are always things for which we can be grateful. Knowing this helps put life in perspective. It feels so good to acknowlege gratitudes. And - studies show that doing this make you feel good. Please feel free to join in.

- we got our power back- that is my number one gratitude. We had a storm blow through Friday afternoon.. it was a micro burst. 300,000 households in my area lost their power. Luckily my mom had power - so grateful for that.
- neighbor helping neighbor
- mom is fine
- air conditioning is such a blessing - especially when it comes back on
- we could take showers during power outage
- no damage to our home... so many folks had big damage from the storm
- 300,000 households in our area don't have electricity - grateful we finally do.

My friends grandmother just passed, made me realize how lucky I am.
I am thankful that at almost 33, I still have my grandmother who I talk to on a daily basis. She raised me and I would love for her to see me after I lose weight. She struggled with her weight her entire life and she will be proud to see me succeed.
- fun evening with DH and other folks doing some fireworks for the kids and families on our street
- went out to dinner with John and Mary Kay - fun. I ate healthfully - mostly. We are keeping their cat while they go on vacation.
- we have electricity. There are still 100,000 households in my county with none. Electrical workers from all over the country are here to help. They are doing a really good job. So grateful.
- woke up feeling dejected about food and aspects of my health - but, writing down my thankfuls makes me feel better.

the five hours uninterrupted sleep I got last night... my 8 month old lovie slept almost 8 hours!
my amazing husband who cleans and takes all the time he can get with our baby girl
feeling better than yesterday, though still coughing. fever and weakness is gone.
my brother is about to graduate from OTS. his wife is pregnant with my second niece/nephew
I will get to see my mom in TEN DAYS!!! LOVE her and haven't seen her in over 6 months.
I have a job, my husband has work, we can feed our children, and pay our rent and utilities. That is far more than the majority of the parents in the world can say today. Thank you, God.
