Default Feeling fab at 160 but bummed at a Nordstrom

I'm feeling pretty fabulous having lost 12.5 lbs and actually pretty comfortable with my body now. I want to lose 15 more lbs but I don't feel like I'm in someone else's body anymore. However, I went to Nordstrom to try on dresses for a wedding and because I'm a pear-shape and still considered big, nothing fit. How do clothes make you feel so fat when you're feeling so good?!?!?!

P.S. I'm sticking to A-line and separates for a while

Some days when I don't find anything I like on me, I think how great it is that I can save money. There will be another day when you'll find multiple things you like. It's tough when you need to buy something for an event, though.. Hope you find something great soon.

I know what you mean. I get the same feeling when I try on jeans. I try to use it as motivation - when I tried on jeans for the first time in years, it was horrible. But then I waited a few weeks and went down a size. Now I try them on once in awhile to see how I am "shrinking" and its a good extra motivation and gives me an idea of how I will look when I reach goal. Its one of those things thats painful at first but can be inspiring if you keep on trying clothes (and going down sizes!). I would say, buy a dress that works for you know for the wedding, but try shopping at Nordstroms again in a month! I bet that as long as they work for your body shape, the clothes will look better and better on you as get closer to goal.

Honestly? When I've been there (and oh, I have), I go and try on stuff in my closet and marvel at my shrinkage.
