Default Endomondo or MapMyRun...Suggestions?

Very new runner here....Almost finished with the C25K program (W9D3 on Friday). I want to continue but would really like a good estimation of my distance and average speed.

Endomondo or MapMyRun...Which one is better????

I haven't used MapMyRun, but I've used Endomondo on an Android phone and an iPhone and I loved it. Very accurate and I like that I can go back and look at runs.

K9OWNER....I have been eyeing the Garmin 405 but it is sooooooo out of my price range right now. Does Garmin make a cheaper product that is good? I really just want to know how far I've gone and my average speed. I can't wait until I'm a 13.1

I have the 205. It does what I need it to do without all the bells and whistles. No strap/ No monitor.
$150 Amazon

I do wear a Polar FT40 for all the other jazz though--highly recommended!

I tried MapMyRun & I didn't like that I couldn't listen to Pandora at the same time on my iPhone. They may have fixed this by now, but that was my issue with it. If I closed the app, it wouldn't continue to monitor my run, and I liked to skip songs/playlists from time to time.

Friends of mine use Endo, but I have never used it.

I have the 305, with heart rate monitor, at costco for like 200$ if I remember correctly? It's a big bigger and no touch screen like the 405, but I've been told that if you tend to get sweaty, it get get hard on the touch screen of the 405.

I'm having the BIGGEST issue w/ this right now - honestly - neither.

I used mapmyrun.com for a few months and it just got more and more inaccurate where it would eventually log me in 6 min miles when I was only 3/4 of a mile in...it's not accurate. I ran a 5k race that was set by the running co and mapmyrun had me finishing 1/3 mile sooner than the course.

LAST week I switched to endomondo - I thought it was a lot more accurate but I ran the same 3.1 [5k] loop last night and it also had me finishing 1/4 mile sooner than the loop. I mapped it out online and the course is right - both mapmyrun & endomondo are OFF.

My husband thinks it's b/c it measures your steps rather than the distance - I looked at mapmyrun after my runs and it has me zig zagging in some areas where I know I am running in a straight line so honestly, if it means a lot to you, get a real tracker...
