Default Molten lava cake recipe? Help!

Hi all,

Long shot here, but my coach told me about a recipe for a molten lava cake from the chocolate pancake/muffin mix. She can't quite remember all the details and I really want to make this for DH's birthday tonight (he's on IP too).

I've searched everywhere on here and FB and all the other Ideal Protein sources I could think of and can't find anything. So I reach out to my 3FC folks to see if anyone happens to have the recipe to share - fingers crossed!

Thanks in advance!

Here is what I found...
Chocolate Mug Cake (shared by Jordanna)
1 pkg Chocolate Drink (or any IP drink)
...1 egg white
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon splenda
Splash of vanilla

Put the drink mix in a big mug
Add enough water to bring it to a slightly watery pudding consistency, just enough to be able to mix easily
Add the other ingredients (egg white, baking powder, olive oil, splenda, vanilla )
Mix it like crazy with a big fork till it's silky smooth
Put it in the microwave for 3 minutes ON TOP OF A BIG PLATE
Watch as it expands like crazy
Let coolSee More

Thanks! Yes, I've tried googling but can't find this particular recipe.

It's a bit different from the chocolate mug cake as it uses the chocolate pancake and not the chocolate drink. And you layer some of the walden farms chocolate syrup in between....but that's all I know!

Thanks for trying!

Is this it???

Faux German Chocolate Cake
Cake

One packet of the IP Chocolate pancake
mix in the water as directed if you were making a muffin (see back of packet)
Add a splash of coconut extract
Spay a remakin with olive oil or cooking spray(small oven safe ceramic dish)
cook in the microwave for 30-50 seconds
It will be souffle like and will expand

Frosting

Add a dash or 3 of vanilla RTD to the walden farm caramel sauce (enough to frost your cake), add a bit of coconut extract -- mix well

Pour/spoon the frosting on your cake

Sprinkle with some unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)

It is like eating a German Chocolate lava cake....delicious (it feels like a big ol cheat)

Close (and that sounds really good!) but not quite. This one is baked in the oven - you put some of the mixture in, let it bake, take it out, add the syrup then the rest of the mixture and let it bake some more.

I'm going to have to wing it, but I'll find a way to make it work!

For your ticker you need a minimum amount of days and a min post number too. I think the posts needed is 20 and you need to be here a month as a member but I might not have that right.

I bet it is in a sticky.

This link seems to provide a recipe along the lines of what you described. FWIW, I haven't made it though, at least not yet, I had just bookmarked the link.

That's it, that's it!! Thank you SO much!!!

As it happens I ended up improvising since I didn't see this until it was too late but they actually turned out rather well. I added egg whites and baking powder but turns out that I might not have needed to. Huh!

Thanks again - will definitely keep this on hand!
