Birthday party blues
Here it comes - birthday time. :>| It's going to be hard to have only one piece of cake/pie, as it's going to be my favorite, as well as a "special" dinner.
I'm going to have to do extra time on the exercise bike tonight. I also cut back on my lunch at work today, giving me some extra calories to work with.

I allowed myself a cheat day on my bday. I only had 1 slice of cake but it was a pretty big one. As long as you don't way over do it, I would enjoy your bday treats. I would just avoid keeping the left overs - don't want 1 cheat day to lead to many more. and happy birthday!!!

Thanks, Vol. I see that you're one pound away from Onderland! I know that's going to be a celebration moment. It was with me.

Last year for my birthday, I had a cheat day. I was conscious of what I ate, but I allowed myself to have a free day. The next day I was back on plan and put a little more time in my workouts that week.

thanks I'm excited it'd be awesome if it happened as early as tomorrow but I know it could be as long as week. I think I might pass out when I see 199 on the scale lol

My birthday was last Wednesday, on Tuesday night my bf took me out for drinks and appetizers and on my birthday my mom took me out for dinner and I made myself cupcakes. I did not go "all out" but I definately have not shed the 2-3 lbs I gained that day :// which I wish I would not have put on.

I'll allow myself to cheat on my birthday, but still I'll try not to overdo it. I'm going for fruitcake and freshly squeezed orange juice. Maybe I can pull off a "healthy lifestyle" party and have all the guests join in on my diet

Ugh. My birthday is at the end of may and I have no idea what's going to happen. I know my family is all going to gatlinburg, and before this I was excited about the moonshine distillery and the brewery and the steak houses. Now? Not so much. But I am excited about going ice skating (in may!) and walking around town. And I might get excited about the hot tub, but I'm nervous about the bathing suit.

BAHHH I know what you mean. I can say no to other people's cakes, but if its my own cake, well I jsut feel awkward saying no. At my office we order cakes for everyone's bday. Because I don't want it anyways, I'm not gonna take it as a cheat day, I'm gonna order a cake flavor I hate and play around with it and maybe no one will notice lol.

I'm having a low-carb birthday party, which fits right into my diet -- it's going to be a barbeque!

It's a sad existence when you have to dread your own birthday because other people push food you don't want on you.

I don't think you should deprive yourself of a treat on your birthday, but be smart about it, you don't want to pay for it for the next couple days. (water retention) Enjoy your birthday meal, and endulge in a little piece of cake, but don't feel forced to eat anything you don't want.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!

My birth DAY turned into a birthday week almost. I have a lot of friends and family and each group wanted to treat me with food and drink, it was really nice of them, but not soo good on my waistline,

This is all too true. For my real celebration, I'll do it how I want - 1 drink - and a lot of dancing!

Two days after my birthday and eating pie and cake, and I'm two pounds heavier. It took me two weeks to get those two pounds off, and it took me one day to put them back on. Did I really eat an extra 7000 calories?!
No more "exceptions" for this or that. From now on, a "celebration" won't be celebrated with food. I'll just have to find something else that constitutes a good time. Now I'm going to have to lose those same two pounds all over again - for the umpteenth time. And I'm back in the 190s.
