At my last weigh in, 4th week, I got a new journal, however she took the old one and put it a box of journals behind her desk. Was not very happy with that. She said something like they need to be handed in, incase the company wants to go thru them and see that we are not letting our clients cheat. UH??? I thought those journals were ours, to write our feelings, etc.
Does your clinic/coach take your old journals too or let you keep them?

I keep my old journals, she never asked for them or mentioned any reviews they did. Was there some type of agreement, contract, etc. you signed where that was stated? I wonder if your clinic is more involved in the 'research' of the IP diet?
I just recently got a new one as well. She didn't say anything about the old one. However, at my first appointment she said we are required to use it because if they are audited it is their backup, basically.
My last few WI's she hasn't even looked at mine. Kind of annoying, since I would love to know if there were areas I could improve, but whatever.

Very annoying I know. I wish they would tell you that ahead of time. i had to transfer my notes to the new one. Yes, it is something about IP auditing or something. I don't know. It makes you stop caring about what you put in the journal.

I too was putting my weekly weigh ins, inches loss, bp, gardening too much, stiff one day, tired because I was getting off nights etc. I got her to photocopy my weight loss progress at least.
I won't be writing anything personal in there for sure now, if this is the case. Maybe I should write big red bold swear words in there. lol
You guys don't get a print out each week of your total weight loss? My clinic provides this and it includes total weight lost, goal information, total inches for each week and total Body Fat lost each week. It's a very helpful tool...
No print out. They have a record to keep but I have to jot my weight and inches loss myself. I mentioned to her to that we should have some little card folder like weight watchers gives you, but I guess my request was stupid.

Nice. Sometimes I request a copy of the sheet she writes on but it would be nice. I always thought they should do that. Handwritten stuff is so archaic to me. It should all be on a computer in my opinion. Especially the ordering process. IP is not quite connected completely. They have some growing to do. There's some kind of disconnect or chaos or something. I don't know if I will do it again. At least I have this board which is where I learned nearly everything. And, I can buy a scale. And I can buy my own journal and put swear words and smiley faces in it.

The scales that I weigh on each week has a paper readout showing you your body composition. My coach puts down my measurements on the back for me. I started to take in my journal to show her my food intake and it happened to be full. She took it and put it in my file, I said what are you doing?? I told her that I always look at the weeks that I lost the most weight to see what I had done different. She told me that they are supposed to keep them on file in case they get audited but would give it back if I really wanted it. I said no but when I quit maybe I will ask for them back.
I get the paper print out of my body composition each week, and sometimes write down the inches...I like that my physique rating says very muscular!
I stopped journaling long ago. I found I was eating the same thing every day anyway, and then was maintains in a way that is different from ip phase 4. My coach is still supportive.
I was told when I signed up that the journals are for them, to make sure I am doing what I need to be doing. So I write the bare min in there and then I have a personal journal that I keep. I don't get a print out of anything, I just have to remember how much I lost and how many inches.
