Thank you guys so much! Y'all helped me get about 45 responses!

My research project, in its entirety, is on whether Young Adult literature should be considered literature. I had done a previous research assignment where I found that literary critics tend to not count young adult literature as literature, and my goal is to prove them wrong. I did an interview at a library and a book store, and y'alls part was to show what the public considers to be good literature. From what y'all have told me, it seems to me like it doesn't really matter what "kind" of book it is as long as it reads good, lol. However, y'all are also showing that YAL is pretty prevalent, which helps my argument.

I have more than enough responses at this point so I think I'm gonna close it for now, but thanks again for being so helpful!
