Am I the only person on Earth that likes Grape Nuts Cereal? Anyone else?

I'm not eating it right now, but it's one of my favorite cereals! I like it both cold and hot, with some frozen blackberries added.

I adore it, but it is a serious trigger food - so I haven't had it in years. (That and Cracklin' Oat Bran - YUM!)

Oh yeah, Cracklin' crack is more like it! I haven't bought it in years, and actually forgot the name, but that stuff is ridiculously delicious!

I will have to try the Cracklin' Oat Bran. I see it in the store but wasn't sure if it was good or not. That is on my "To Get List".

I buy the Kashi version of Grape Nuts for my husband. Grape nuts is pretty calorie dense and a single serving isn't enough for me to be satisfied.

Cracklin oat bran is mostly sugar with a little oat bran thrown it. I think it is probably one of the unhealthiest cereals out there which is probably why it tastes so good. I think most sugary kids cereals have less sugar than it.

I just checked out the nutritional information for Grape Nuts compared to Uncle Sam (my 2nd favorite) and there is a BIG difference. I"m so sad.

Uncle Sam - 1 cup = 237 calories
Grape Nuts - 1/2 cup = 200 calories - - - > WOW! only 1/2 cup and all of those calories.

I guess I better switch back to Uncle Sam.

"Trigger food" is something that is known to cause an individual to binge eat (or to make bad food choices). Grape Nuts is delicious, and I love the texture. I cannot eat a serving, I often could eat the whole box. That in turn would cause me to eat more foods in an out-of-control way.

I've learned that my trigger foods (while few) are incredibly dangerous and may never be enjoyed in moderation. I am now ok with that.

Oooooooooooooh ok. Gotcha! I understand now. Well, I must confess that I do eat 2 servings and I have to stop myself. I guess I better stick to my #2 favorite cereal (Uncle Sam).

I LOVE GRAPE NUTS. Yes, 1/2 cup has 200 cals, but it's worth it because it fills me up!! I like to put milk in them with a little bit of honey or light pancake syrup and microwave it for a minute. It's so good!!

I love it!!! Except I can't have it in the house because I eat tiny bowls of it with cream.

There's an ice cream shop I used to go to that made Grape Nut Ice Cream. Heaven.
