Low cal drinks?
Not a big fan of drinking, so I am crap at ordering drinks. This is the one of the rare occassions I will get a drink at someone's birthday this Saturday but I don't want to look silly lol.
So I am thinking, scotch and club soda? Or rum and diet coke? I don't care about the taste, as long as its a drink I can hold in my hands and its as low cal as possible lol. Can anyone recommend any brands, in case the bartender asks?
Thanks!

I always do vodka and orange juice, because I prefer vodka and orange juice is healthy for you. So it's a win win! lol and that's just my logic and excuse to drink

Rum and diet. Calories dont vary based on the brand (I dont think). That said, go with whatever is on special since you don't care about the taste. Brand names will go down smoother though lol.
I usually get a single tall......i.e. one shot of liquor with double the amount of diet soda.

I LOVE SAILOR MOON! I have all three seasons on my computer which I haven't finished watching yet. If they had sailor moon shirts I'd totally wear it haha. I'm such a kid at heart.

I like vodka/club soda and extra lime. I often ask for a splash (really a teeny splash) of cranberry with it.

Tequila only has 64 calories/shot, and gin only has 55 cal/shot. You could get a tom collins, which is gin and [diet] sprite? or gin and tonic?
Some places are coming out with lower cal/lower sugar drinks, such as 'skinny margaritas' etc. Good luck!

I know rum & diet coke has a small amount of calories.
I also read somewhere that bourbon is good.
Diet Coke is not something I usually drink, I never drink soda actually, but for alcohol it's a different story.. haha

Alternatively you can get something with lots of alcohol in it and use that as an excuse to sip at it gently all night. A screwdriver might have fewer calories than a martini, but if the choice is between four screwdrivers or one martini the scales swing in the other direction

When I first saw the title I thought "water" =p.
I've heard vodka is a good mixer if you're thinking of your weight. The way I see it is if you're going to drink then forget about your weight and have a good time. Drink what you like and what you want.

I just looked up gin and tonic, thinking that would be a good idea, and apparently tonic water actually is fairly high calorie. So go for diet tonic if you want a G&T. Having said that, I find gin and tonic bitter enough to last the night without me drinking it too fast, so it might be an option

I hear vodka is the least calorie dense drink, and if you really don't care how it tastes, then get a vodka water.
but if its just to have a drink in your hand, get a diet coke or whatever you like to normally drink. No one has to know its nonalcoholic. I do this whenever I go out and don't feel like drinking, but don't want my friends giving me flack for not drinking.

Not much of a drinker anymore, but I used to get a rum & diet coke before I knew I had a bad reaction to aspartame.

I'm a big fan too, got most of the series on DVD aside from the last season and started to recollect the manga as it comes out (my old collection is long gone). Er . . . aren't there five seasons, not three? They did have Sailor Moon shirts at Hot Topic a few months back, not sure about now. But it was disappointing for me as they were only junior sizes and I'm far from that still, lol.
