Default Did anyone watch "The Amandas"? - Working in heels - seriously?

I thought I'd give it a try. I like shows about organizing and such. However, I find it a bit off-putting when she comments that people have gotten lazy and wear jeans and tee shirts to work.

HELLO!!!! You are working with machines to remove glue remaining after prying up floor tiles. Wearing 4-inch heels doesn't exactly sound safe or smart to me. Maybe I'm wrong but somehow I don't think so.

Also, would you wear some of your best dresses and crawl around the floor removing those tiles?

While there was a time in my life when I KNEW that my parents were totally clueless (remember those days?), they were both adamant that I not climb on a ladder if I was wearing anything other than flat shoes. Guess they weren't so dumb after all.

What do you think? Maybe I'm just off base and too old to appreciate younger people's outlooks on style in the workplace now days.

I worked in a flower shop for years and no way would I wear heels and anything other then jeans.I tried a few times to wear something other then gym shoes, but that only got me slipping on leaves and hurting my feet on rose thorns....not ideal. Not only that, but even with an apron on,my clothes were ruined after a while from the greens and spray paints we used. She must never have had a job where you actually get dirty

I read some comments,I guess she's the one who is suposedly getting dirty by organizing peoples homes? If so,she probably has others do the work for her and if thats the case, she doesn't care if their clothes are ruined. Also,by the comments,I wont be watching...ever,lol.

Well, I can't wear heels for one (too heavy for them) and two, I type all day - no one really cares what I look like. I'll soon be working at home - so forget t-shirts and jeans, I'll be in my pajamas.

Heels and dresses are practical in some settings, completely impractical in others. Can you imagine a nurse running down the hallway in this day wearing heels and a dress? Granted, they did it 50 years ago, but things were different then, too.

Default I really like this show

Ok don't throw tomatoes! I think this lady has a talent. I mean I love her style and she does own the co. It's tv so I expect the drama and some controversy but not only have I suffered with my weight, I suffer from my clutter. Because of this show, and I have written to tell her, I am losing weight and clutter! I don't care if she's in a ball gown, girls got talent and I have started doing some of the things she shows on her show. I got rid of 10 bags!
This is the first show I have seen that doesn't make everyone who suffers from clutter look like a hoarder!
