I am but a very modified version that my sponsor is helping me with at the moment. All the grains and starches made me sick due to some health conditions I curently have, I do believe it is a good plan.

I have been on the food plan for 21 days now. It was a rough first few days going through detox, but now I feel fantastic! When I first saw the plan, it scared me a little, but now I find it pretty easy! The big challenge is eating out. Sometimes it's hard to find a place where you can have abstinent food. You definitely have to plan ahead in order to eat clean!

Just wanted to bump this up there again... this plan really works! I have been on it for 56 days and have not had a single food craving. Amazing! It is now more than a plan for me--it is my way of life. And those closest to me may not understand the plan, but they support me thoroughly. I can't ask for more than that!

That's the beauty of this food plan--it helps you get rid of the addictive substances like sugar, flour and wheat. Trust me, once you start it and get through the first week, you will feel so much better!

How did you hear of the food plan?

I actually found it through another forum when I was purging still. I couldn't do it....well didn't have the willpower or desire to quit because I was living the best of both worlds (could eat as much as I want, throw it up, and not gain any weight!).

But I'm ready. I know that sugar is a HUUUGE trigger for me and I know that cheese is a huge trigger for me. I will binge a lot on foods that are either really sweet or can have cheese melted on them.

I'm starting Kay's plan tommorow. My meals are all done for the day, thats why I'm starting tommorow. My biggest thing is going to be getting rid of my tea. I drink about 3 or 4 cups of tea a day and each cup has 2 tsp of sugar and 2 tsp half and half cream.

But I can do it. And I'm going to feel soooooooooooooooooo much better!

Just happened to see this. First off, Jen, I am SO happy for you. Oh my goodness, this is WONDERFUL!!!

Secondly, I did not go on a specific plan to rid myself of the sugar, rice, pasta, flour, etc.. but just instituted it on my own and yes after a couple of hard weeks (which you just have to suck it up and get through it no matter what) it got amazingly better and dare I say - easy. There, I said it!!

For years, I had heard that was the way to go, but I figured not for me. "I could not live without those foods". Well that was nonsense. BIG TIME NONSENSE. Turns out I was barely living WITH those foods.

Initially, you must focus on not what you are giving up, but on what you will be gaining. You're giving up *those* foods, but you are getting SO much more. SO much more - it was nothing short of miraculous.

So true Robin! Yes, I had to give up something I thought I could not live without (sugar)....but I have also given up insanity for serenity. A pretty good trade, I think!

I realize more than anything that my problem is more than just physical, but spiritual and emotional as well. My personal program is covering all three of these areas.

AND...you are so right about it getting easy after the first week or so. The food plan I use scared the bejeebers out of me when I first read it, but now it is as natural for me as breathing air!

Your food looks good! You'll probably have withdrawl symptoms for about 5-7 days, but after that, you will feel AMAZING.

I just Googled that food plan and I don't think there is anyway I could do it! It looks really complicated.

It's really not! Believe me, if *I* can do it, anyone can!! It takes planning ahead, but it is SO worth it! I have lost 36 lbs in 105 days!
