Exclamation Have you done TURBOFIRE or INSANITY?

Hey

I started the Turbofire workout yesterday, the first videos being the fire 30 and stretch 10 workouts. Very tough, i must say!

However, my brother is going to be starting Insanity next Monday and suggested I try it with him. Of course, my stamina is low so it will be a HUGE challenge, but I've heard it's very effective.

My birthday is in about a month, and I just bought my dress yesterday. So my short-term motivation is to look slimmer in that dress in one month than I did in it yesterday!

Have any of you done either turbofire or insanity (or maybe even both)? What were your results like and do you have any tips to share with me?

Thanks!

My personal preference is TF over Insanity because the music is so upbeat and the workouts fly by. They're both excellent programs so whichever one you choose to go with, you won't be disappointed!

Very true! I do enjoy the music in TF a lot I'll probably end up continuing with that for now, but give insanity a shot when my brother starts it (just to see which one i prefer). Thanks for the help

In the forum for fitness videos, there is an insanity thread. There are quite a few people working that program. I bought it for pretty cheap on amazon and got it a few weeks ago. I'm doing a video here and there for now because I have a hectic January and February at work, to build up my stamina so when I really start the program I will not be too sore to keep it up and so I will not be too sore to walk haha!

It is very hardcore but I really like it so far. I plan on starting for real the end of February and one of my 2012 resolutions is to complete the program twice this year. I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Either workout you choose I'm sure you will look fabulous in your dress!

I did insanity over the summer. I am glad I did it, but I don't think I'll be going back to it. It's just so much jumping that it can be hard on your knees. My coworker loved Turbofire (and I love Chalean Extreme) so that would get my vote. Intense without being quite so hard on your joints.

I started turbo fire on Monday. So far I am loving the program. I am happy today is my rest day because I am really sore. I've seen that people have had great results with the program so I am going to give it the full shot. I have nothing to lose but the weight!

Thanks everybody for your answers!

I did start insanity on Monday, since my brother was going to start it regardless I thought it would give me a little extra motivation as well. I'm SORE, but that only means its working my muscles and burning the fat! haha. i'm planning on doing turbofire at the end of insanity since it looks like a great program as well

bikini ready- good luck for when you properly start it at the end of feb! its good that you're getting some practice now.

raisingthemleft- i noticed the same thing, after the plyometrics work out my knees were hurting a bit

hk2011- i know how you feel! good luck with turbofire, from what i've seen its really intense as well.

diamondonalandmine - i've heard the same and it def. feels good too. are you planning on starting it?

What were your results like with insanity? I have heard that people lose more inches than weight (which is just fine with me).

I've been doing TF for a couple of month now. I think ppl loose more inches on it as well. I love TF, love the workouts. Chelene is very uplifting and non-pretentious as always. Good Luck with whatever program you choose!

I'm also a fan of Turbo Fire. I love the energy and fun factor. I have never done Insanity.
