Default Celery Root?

I saw a vid on youtube someone made a french fry swap with celery root. It looked great. But I've had celery root & it doesn't look good at all! I tried to make the turnip fries before & found them gross. Anyone know what it tastes like?

Celery root tastes like a cross between potato and celery. It is one of the ugliest vegetables around but I like it. I believe it would be considered a starchy veggie. There is a recipe for celeriac and turnip mash in the Recipe Section.

It just looks like something you can store and eat someplace with long winters
I just got one from my CSA. I plan to try this soup
