So glad to find everyone here. Introduction...I've been on this journey since April. I've gone from a 24W to a 14W (although I tried on a regular 16 the other day and it fit). I'm going shopping for new year's eve and am hoping to buy something that is not in the Women's section . I haven't weighed since July because I'm TERRIFIED of scales and don't want to get my hopes crushed

Trying to get all of this licious back in order

Hey, everyone! Glad to see you're still keeping the thread going! I haven't had a great year in weight loss either, but I am ending the year a little less than I started it. I'm really amped up to meet my weight loss goals in 2012. I'm on the 17 day diet, and it's going good so far. I'm on day 3 of cycle 1.

Hi, Matilda! There's a 17 day diet book. There are for cycles. In the first one I have lean proteins (chicken, turkey, fish, eggs), "cleansing vegetables," 2 servings of fruit, 2 servings of yogurt, green tea, and lots of water.

Hey Good People.

I thought I would say a quick hello. It was nice to see a thread for women of color. I started my weight loss journey in 2010 and I can defiantly testify to anyone that you can and will meet your goals. Well, I'll see you good people on the thread :-)

Thanks for the warm welcome Matilda and beaka. I hope you both are doing well. I see y'all are doing good on your journeys too. I hope to be way down by this summer. I actually started to journeys around the same time. I went natural dec. 2009. and then went on my weight loss journey summer 2010. :-).

see you on the forumns,
kede

Hiya Kede and WELCOME!!!! Congrats on your success so far.

Anybody know of a good Zumba type workout on DVD? I like moderate impact. Everything I've seen is incredibly fast or they're dancing to songs like "back that thing up." So, not me. Thoughts or suggestions anyone?

Hi ladies,

Happy Friday and Happy New Year!

I've been a part of the 3FC community for a little while but regularly post on only one thread. Was just browsing thru the forum and came across this one! Definitely nice to see a thread dedicated to women of color. I'll be checking in with y'all!

beaka - nice blog! I like your Life Lessons from Running
free1 - I can't recommend any Zumba dvds but I do recommend checking YouTube for some good Zumba routines. Most of the routines are only a few mins for one song (I play a bunch of them consecutively in a playlist - it works!) but there are a few routines that run longer - and I know there's at least one that's like 30 mins. Check that out!
