Default cinnamon

Is it ok if I eat a lil cinnamon on an apple or in oatmeal?

Why wouldn't it be okay? Cinnamon is just a spice. And some say that it regulates blood sugar.

I second that. Cinnamon is perfectly delicious and healthy. Have at it!

If it helps with the taste, why not? It sounds really good on an apple anyway! Great idea!

Like the above posters said, cinnamon also has some health benefits.

My mom swears by it. She puts some in her tea.

Is there a specific diet you're trying to follow that you think would limit cinnamon? If not, definitely enjoy some cinnamon! It's much better than using sugar! I love it in oatmeal too.

With the exception of some truly bizarre cleanses, pretty much every diet worth its' salt doesn't restrict food seasonings and herbs in normal quantities. Thyme, cinnamon, curry powder, paprika - have at it! Add a little stevia too, for sweetness. Whatever. Most of those are highly tonic and beneficial to health, adding them enhances flavor AND health.

I have salted and peppered my cottage cheese to good effect, but I never thought about cinnamon and stevia - it sounds delish and I will have to try it!

I did my organic Chem research presentation on Cinnamon and have found it is a wonderful addition to your diet! Make sure your not using "Chinese" cinnamon because it has Coumadin, which is a blood thinner. Other than that just half a teaspoon on foods or in drinks ( I like it in my coffee) is enough for health benefits.
