Default Getting more attention....and LOVING it!

Since I have been working as a cashier at my local Wal-Mart, around two months ago, I have lost about 10 pounds more or less and have lost 4 inches on my waist. Every day, I am feeling better and happier. I carry myself so much more positively, and am almost always happy. I have always been a positive person, but when I was bigger, it was harder to have a positive image of myself. Now, I am getting back to my mental image of myself, and I have to say, I am looking so great! People are noticing me. I have always loved getting attention from others, but have missed it all these years. I just assumed that I would always be invisible to others; I am sure this comes down to the way I carry myself more than anything. I am still a big girl, to be sure. But now, things are getting so wonderful. In six pounds, I will be down to my pre-college weight! I am getting compliments every day from friends, coworkers, and customers. A lot of those compliments have nothing to do with my appearance; for instance, many of my customers and co workers compliment me on my great attitude and for always having a smile on my face. I have also had people compliment my appearance as well, of course. I had forgotten how good it feels for people to notice me in a positive way, and how good it feels to recognize myself in a positive light. Thanks for letting me share! To date, I have lost 63 pounds and it's amazing. Life is getting better all the time!

Congrats! I remember the last time I lost weight I would overhear conversations that coworkers would tell me, "Shannon is so positive and outgoing now!"

Congratulations, Your 63lb loss is fantastic!
I too am feeling more like my happy self of years gone by, because I am finally focusing on taking care of myself and not trying to please others who will never themselves be happy.
It is such a great feeling to stand straighter, smile from that internal happiness, and know that those who really love you want only good things for you.

You should be getting that positive attention. From those pounds lost, you deserve good feedback. It's always encouraging to hear the ones around us compliment on the weight loss.

Never stop smiling because your hard work has paid off tremendously.

Thanks, all. The attention from people at work is just amazing. I live in my father in law's house at the moment (though, yay, we'll be moving out in the next month or so!) and my father in law seems a little put out that I am 'focusing on losing weight' instead of being in college right now. But, it was just imperative. I couldn't continue at school because of my weight! Anyway, my life just gets better every single day!

That's amazing! You definitely deserve that attention, what you've accomplished is amazing, but it would be nothing without your fantastic attitude!
