Default Hey, Pass Me By!!!

We all know this next month or so there are going to be "goodies" just about everywhere we go. For those of us who work outside the home, of course, there is "junk all over the place" at work.

I thought it would be fun to share the things we pass right on by and gain NSVs instead of pounds!

Yesterday there were candy canes at work... and today today I walked into the lunchroom and there on the "free" table was a huge yummy looking pizza! Now one slice would have been okay... except I had already eaten lunch! Soooooo... I just looked at it... well, I did eat one tiny bit of stuff on the side of the box... and walked away!!

What about the rest of you? What have you passed by? Let's see how big a list of stuff we can add between now and New Year's. As well as any comments you want to leave, please also copy the list, add your items, and post it. How long can we make the list?

1. Candy canes
2. Pizza

Yesterday evening I went to the gym with my mom(she's trying to get back into shape after gaining a few pounds) When we walked in, we find ourselves standing directly across from a table with about 12 pizza's. Apparently our gym buys pizza the first monday of every month. Anyways, we passed it, drool pouring out of our mouths, and went for our workout. Afterwards, the pizza was still there. Not wanting to blow our entire workouts, we walked out the door, unphased.

1. Candy canes
2. Pizza
3. A third mini cupcake
4. Bagels and danish and croissants (oh my!)

My office is like a buffet these days. I add to the problem by bringing in a lot of home-made treats because I love to bake.

There is a 5 lb. chocolate BRICK on the free table that came from a vendor. I had a bite one day and have eschewed it since.

I am thankful every day that I work with 2 men, who don't think about setting out food. And I don't mention it.

However, Friday night at my DH's company party, I swiped all the candy canes I could get my hands on. They're going on the tree. I won't eat them, yuck. But will make pretty on the tree.

We always have good things at home because my husband is thin and loves to eat crap...he put leftover pizza in the fridge which I did NOT eat, even though I desperately wanted to. Also he opened a huge bag of tortilla chips and I didn't have a single one!

2. Pizza
3. A third mini cupcake
4. Bagels and danish and croissants
5. Boxes of chocolates (even though my husband tends to get me such things at Christmas *glare*)
6. 5# chocolate brick
7.Pizza
8.tortilla chips

Today I woke up and walked to the kitchen. On the counter were a dozen of the gigantic cupcakes with buttercream frosting and some decorations on them, along with little bite-sized mini pecan pies. I haven't eaten any yet, and hopefully won't. Thought posting about it would keep me away :P

Absolutely brilliant!!!!! The gym is ensuring repeat business! It's just like dentists giving their clients baskets of candy!

I am trying to keep a list here so will try to backtrack. Also, I decided we should add an item twice (or more) if we duplicate it since, after all, more than one of us did it. So here goes

1. Candy canes
2. Pizza
3. A third mini cupcake
4. Bagels and danish and croissants
5. Boxes of chocolates (even though my husband tends to get me such things at Christmas *glare*)
6. 5# chocolate brick
7.Pizza
8.tortilla chips
9. Candy canes
10. gigantic cupcakes with buttercream frosting and some decorations
11. little bite-sized mini pecan pies.
11. Mini chocolate bars (on a co-worker's desk of mine)
12. Christmas cookies, cider, etc. (party last night, me)
13.
14.
15.
16.
17.
18.
19.
20.

I am off to a community dinner at church tonight and have a Christmas Dessert Theater tomorrow night -- whew three in a row. So I will have to be good tonight.

I walked into the break room where I work, to get some coffee. A well meaning co worker smiled and said, "Since you're having coffee, you might as well have a doughnut!". Then I explained about trying not to eat too much crap and respectfully declined.

We were at a Scouts Christmas party - so all sorts of ridiculously unhealthy snacks. And then.. they pull out 3 dozen dunkin donuts... so sticky and fresh looking. So what did I snack on??? A glass of soda water!
