Just checking in. I know reading other people's stories has helped with my motivation and I hope I can do the same for everyone else here.
Not much to say, really. I bought a treadmill in late June and have been running mostly consistently on it. I started out with the C25K program, but I just run each week until it no longer feels hard. Then I move up. I'm still only on week four
but if I can lose almost thirty pounds by doing what I've been doing so far, I should be in pretty good shape by the time I am ready to run week nine or ten.
I joined Weight Watchers in Mid-September and have actually lost 14 pounds since then, so it definitely jump-started a new round of weight loss for me. I know the pros and cons but I can safely say that it has worked out quite well for me. I'm about 5 pounds away from my readjusted Weight Watchers 10% (although I hit my own personal 10% a couple weeks ago).
There have been a couple slumps where I have stopped paying attention to diet or exercise, but I think my eating habits have evolved as such that I'm more aware of what I'm eating even if I'm not writing it down. I only gained a pound or two during one, and just maintained during the other. It's encouraging. I still get frustrated that I have lost 30 pounds and feel like I still look very much the same. I have quite a ways to go before I feel "normal" sized (in fact, I've always been heavy so I'm excited to get to a point where I feel ... small? Just average), but the success I've had thus far is wonderful. Thanks for reading!
