Default Quiting diet coke

My first baby step is to quit diet coke/pepsi. I am really addicted to it. Strangely it makes me hungry. I know I will not lose weight while I am drinking it.

So far - two weeks without a diet coke.

What is your secret? I am addicted to coke zero. Really need to leave the stuff alone. Great job.

I gave up all soda over a month and a half ago.
Eventually you just don't want it anymore, legit.
I used to craveeeeeeeeeee it so bad, but not anymore.

Congrats on 2 weeks!

I gave it up a couple of years ago, for more than a year, and then somehow got back to drinking 1 or more a day. So I should probably give it up again.

It's hard to quit! I have basically stopped because the caffeine keeps me up at night, but about once a week I just crave it and give in.

I've heard that diet sodas are actually as bad, if not worse, than regular sodas because of the effect on insulin in your body. A lot of people get cravings for sugar and carbs when they drink diet sodas. The Weightwatchers program almost encourages drinking diet soda so it can't be detrimental to weight loss, right? The new program even lets you count diet soda as water, right? That seems odd to me, there is no substitution for water, water is so good!

You know when I decide to diet I never had trouble letting go of caffeine. I'm not sure why. I got headaches the first couple of days probably due to giving up caffeine but I was never like "OMG I NEED A COKE!!!!" X_X

I think keeping yourself busy by drinking loads of water helps. Try not to think about it.

Congrats on your 2 weeks KayMaxim!! Keep it up!!
