So... yesterday I had my annual gyno appt and my doc was VERY PLEASED that I have lost 25 pounds since my last visit (31 lb total loss) - and her expressed pleasure made me feel SO GOOD!!!
-which is a very good thing, because I've been feeling a little "slow" lately (my weight loss is no slower than it's been normally, but somehow the past couple weeks it just SEEMS slower.... weird, huh?)
Anyway, I see a lot of posts here where some people seem to be angry that others comment on their weight loss. I'm not! I GET ABSOLUTELY GIDDY!!!
AWESOME JOB Beach Patrol!!! That is so exciting! (im totally happy dancing for you!!) and Im with ya, I want people to so "heeeeeyyy....have you lost weight?" HECK YA!! With all this work, I REALLY want someone to notice! LOOK LOOK!! LOOK AT ME!' lol
So Great job!
On a similar note, I had a mammogram yesterday. I knew I was really behind but I didn't realize how much. When I looked up the requisition form from my family doctor, I realized it was issued in 2009 (Yeah, I haven't seen my family doc since then).
Anyway, I had the mammogram and the technician asked me when my previous mammo was. I said that probably in 2008 and she brought up the pictures on the screen. When she was done with the procedure she said "You must have lost a lot of weight, luv" (being a lovely Scottish lady). I knew that they don't have my weight on record so I asked how she knew. She said that the X-rays from 2008 showed a much bigger deposits of fat in my boobs and somehow she was also able to tell that my boobs got smaller. She made me so happy that I would have kissed her!
And, a cherry on the pie was that when I got home, I tried on jeans that about a month ago were still too tight and now they fit me perfectly.
You know what, I was 162.8 last week for a day and then it was 163 and 164I know I haven't eaten those many calories and doing exercise regularly. I am sure the weight gain is due to water retention. I know my body has to flush it out one day or other.
I don't mind the comments either! I welcome them, especially because my work attire hides any sign of weigh loss. If someone notices, it's impressive. I'm glad you had that NSV especially since things just feel slow right now.
