Default 2sw33t's Progress II - 16 in 7

I want to lose 16 lbs in 7 weeks, which will put in One-derland by my birthday (Oct. 13), and put me 50 llbs down in just under a year. I did something like this at the end of last year, 13 in 7 and pretty much made it, so I'm going to try it again.

8/24 - 215
8/31 [hoping for 212]
9/7 [hoping for 210]
9/14 [hoping for 208]
9/21 [hoping for 205]
9/28 [hoping for 203]
10/5 [hoping for 201]
10/12 [hoping for 199]

Feel free to join in if you have a 7-week goal

What an awesome birthday present to yourself!!! I just started my weight loss journey 2 months ago so I'm still trying to find my rhythm...but what the heck...I'll join you. It might be too ambitious, but I'll go for 202 (-18). If I make it, that will put me at 30lb total!

Cheers to us!

Things are not looking good - I really shouldn't start out a challenge by going in the opposite direction! I believe some of it is water weight, but some of it is a real fat gain, because I ate a lot of terrible stuff over the weekend. (Cupcakes galore! They attacked me at every turn, and it was "eat or be eaten"!)

I'm not giving up, though it does make my goal less attainable.

Is this an additional 16lbs or are you having to lose it again? I hope not. Good luck and keep up the good work.

Good Morning 2sw33t! At least you know it was the cupcakes that did you in, so that's a good start! I went to the state fair this last weekend and was up on Monday...way UP, lol. I just went right back to my program Sunday night, no harm no foul! Get back on the proverbial horse !

Good job on the loss, even with the state fair fare! You're doing great!

**NOTE - I'm just tracking this here out of curiosity - I'm not normally a calorie-counter. I'm not really interested in feedback on it.

I'm going to start logging my food here - maybe using one post per week so I don't fill the thread with food posts.

8/31
- 3 cups coffee, 1 oz. cream per (300 Cal)
- ~10 red raspberries (10 Cal)
- 5 oz. can of tuna (225 Cal)
- 2 oz. cream cheese (200 Cal)
- 1 tomato, 1/3 green pepper, 1/3 cucumber, some onion (70 Cal)
- some vinegar (15 Cal)
- 1 T. olive oil (120 Cal)
- 4 eggs, fried in 1 T. butter (420 Cal)
- small banana (90 Cal)
- 1 Taco Bell crunchy beef taco (170 Cal)
- grande frozen SF hazelnut mocha (480 Cal - wow! didn't realize how many Calories that had!)
----Total: 1900 Cal

9/1
- 3 cups coffee, 1 oz. cream per (300 Cal)
- 3 tiny red potatoes (300 Cal)
- liver stew (300 Cal)
- 1/2 T. butter (50 Cal)
- some vinegar (15 Cal)
- a lot of "Spanish rice" with cottage cheese instead of rice (~850 Cal?)
- Heath Klondike bar (230 Cal)
----Total: 2045 Cal

I dropped back to my sw (214) for this challenge this morning - probably all the water I was drinking yesterday due to my cold.

Wow - over 40% (800) of your calories were drunk rather than eaten! I'd drop the cream in your coffee like a heart attack. If you can't drink it black, get your caffine fix from diet coke or something with ZERO calories. If you do this everyday you'll drop 2+ pounds a month without even trying! (300 cal x 30 days = 9,000 or 2.6 pounds!)

And were those whole eggs? Lots of extra fat & cholesterol there - better to do 2 whole and 2-3 whites instead- get the protien without the stuff you don't want. And for goodness sakes, use PAM instead of butter and save yourself 100 calories of PURE FAT.

I am not a fat hater but I really think you can make different choices that will lead to results on the scale and your body. I think you really need to examine your diet if you want to achieve your goal. The people here are ready and able to help!

Good luck and Happy Health!

@NTexas, sorry - not interested. I have designed my diet around my preferences, and I find a high fat diet very healthful for me -i.e., the fat is the stuff I want, not the protein per se. I try to avoid grains, high carb foods, and most vegetables oils (due to their unstable PUFA content), while eating whole, unprocessed foods - for the most part. It works for me, and I enjoy it.

Well, not quite back on track, but the gain from last week disappeared and I'm moving downward. There's still a chance to "catch up" my original plan.

9/7 - 212 [hoping for 210]
9/14 [hoping for 208]

9/28 [hoping for 203]
10/5 [hoping for 201]
