Default A Sad NSV

A year and a half ago I went in search of pants that I could easily get into and that were super comfortable and found Hanes' Sleepwear. After trying them on I discovered they were the most comfortable pants ever and since they were grey I could wear them out like sweats or inside like pjs. So I went back to the store and bought them out of 3x. I bought them originally because we thought I'd end up in a wheel chair and I was looking for ease, BUT...

I have lost so much weight and inches now they are so big Only yesterday I was going downstairs and my toe caught on them and I nearly tumbled, not good. They have become a hazard, they're always getting caught on something. I have to retire so many things this year (all summer clothes) and now my favorite pants. I'm sad about it.

Oh well, I guess on the brighter side of things, I'm clearly out of wheel chair danger and I am losing weight. Maybe Hanes still makes these and I can try a 1x. I hope so.

That's a GREAT NSV!! Way to go!

It's hard getting rid of old clothes sometimes, but it's super fun buying new, smaller sizes.

Way to go mamkat! And yes, sometimes it's sad to grow out of something the other way around too - by getting smaller!

I kinda had to giggle here because as weird as it sounds, I have had some sad moments getting rid of some of my fav clothes too.
It is certainly a GREAT reason to get rid of them though. CONGRATS.

Wow, that's just awesome that you've lost so much that being in a wheelchair is now out of the picture for you! I know you're sad about the pants, but don't they sell them in a smaller size? But the wheelchair thing is just amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's huge! I mean, it's hard to get rid of stuff, but you've gotten smaller! You're not in a wheelchair! Clothes come and go. You can pick new ones based on some other criteria than how comfortable they'll be in a chair. Congrats!

Thank you everyone, I know everything you say is true...I'm happy about the weightloss for sure! And if I knew how to dance without looking like the biggest dork ever, I'd do a happy dance for not being in a wheel chair. But these pants are so comfortable For fun, I can pulled them all the way over my girls.. I guess it is really time to replace them

That's awesome! If you're looking for comfy yoga type pants that can be worn out and to bed, I can't recommend the Target Merona Jersey pants enough - in normal and capri. Super comfy, and cheap!

Thanks Munchy I'll look into it as I have to go school shopping for the kids this week, might as well pick up some things for me. I have to grab a few pair of pants too. I decided to wear my capris one more summer but I don't have pants yet as I bought the sleepwear instead...so got a lot of shopping to do

If you have a SAM's Club near you, they have what they call Yoga pants in every size and you get 2 in a pack for like maybe $15. They are made by either Hanes or Jockey or.... but they wash nicely and look nice.

Sleep pants always look like sleep pants. Its great you can't wear them any more. Exercise clothes and sleepwear should be worn only for those functions.

Way to go girl! As much as it sucks to get rid of our fav clothes, it's such a great feeling to get to buy new ones in smaller sizes!

Aww, that's bittersweet!

I have only one top and one pair of pants that I've really outgrown, like it doesn't make a lot of sense to wear them. So, I've been, on the one hand wondering how it can be that all of these 3X things still fit me, and on the other hand marveling at how awesome I look in them! I can really rock a 3X top now. And now I'm looking pretty sharp in the two 2X tops I bought at the beginning of the summer but didn't feel comfortable in them yet.

I feel like I must be exceptionally short to be able to wear 3X at 175 pounds. As I get slimmer, I am feeling my height more.

This might speak for my life much more, but if I'm sitting around the house then I wear yoga pants...I can be lazy. I also wear them to the gym and to bed. If my neighbors saw me run to the car in them, I don't think it would be as embarrassing as a little sleep dress or character pajama bottoms
