Default mini goals and challenges

do you set mini goals for yourself? If so, do you find that more motivational towards your big goal?

do you set up challenges for yourself? Like trimming a minute off your your mile if you walk or adding reps to your work out routine?

If so what are some mini goals and challenges you have done?

Yup I have a big flow chart that I made. I started it with my top weight-- 220, my current weight, and made a lot of squares (think similar to a flowchart or a board game) all the way down to 150, my goal weight. Each square is a mini goal. I made a lot of them, so that I have a lot of mini goals. I'm going to color each square as the weight goes down.

I challenge myself to increase my speed on the treadmill and shorten my mile by a minute or whatever. Over the course of the past 4 months I have gone from 3.3 mph to 3.8 mhp and have shaved 3 minutes off my mile.

Some days I'lll set a goal to drink more water that day or eats smaller proportions that day
