Went out to dinner last night at one of my favorite burger joints. Got a doggie box when my meal was served, cut the meal in half, and took it home with me.

Walked and ran (a little) on the treadmill this morning even though I am a HUGE cranky-puss today.

All my summer visits are gone and have ZERO excuses to eat unhealthy, so this morning I woke up determined to claim my healthy lifestyle back.

Had a bowl of steamed broccoli as part of my lunch. It's very filling and I love it so it makes me happy!

I chose fresh blueberries with my usual slice of Ezekiel toast for breakfast this morning, instead of an entire jar of strawberry jam.

I woke up too early (4:30 a.m.) and instead of feeling sorry for myself, I did 30 minutes of cardio on an elliptical. I'm still tired, but I would have been tired anyway, so why not?

Wink 1 Good thing I did today was go Healthy Food shopping @ COSCO

In the past whenever I have gone to COSCO I felt tempted to shop all the yummy, delish, high carb and high Cal desserts. Today I ventured into Cosco after my Dr's appt and I shopped for healthy staples for the fridge. I p/u multi grain double pk of bread, cranberry cocktail juice, pesto for salad and chicken with gnochi, a baked chicken, and that was it. I felt in control of my shopping and focused on the good foods to p/u Not the desserts section of the store. I looked at them in the end but exercised my will power too. I really want to buy a big choc cake and take a handful at a time of the delish dark chocolate frosting and just forget about it. But thank God for my will power getting stronger.

I had oral surgery (ouch) and I'm on a soft food diet. I'm in backwards land - I've lost 2 lbs since surgery a week ago, so my challenge is to consume more calories! Nevertheless, I made a "better" choice tonight - I ate guacamole instead of a bowl of ice cream.

TooWicky -

This one time, at band camp... wait.. that's the wrong story.

Once, while in college my jaw locked shut (severe TMJ) and for several months I was on a liquid diet. I gained a TON of weight. I put cheesecake in the blender. Doritos and bean dip in the blender. Lasagna in the blender. There wasn't anything I didn't put in the blender.

So congrats on making the soft food work FOR you, not against you!

I didn't exercise at all over the weekend, and this morning I was suppose to run. Normally I would have felt discouraged at this point and given up. This morning I went out for a run.

Hello all, lots of familiar faces!!

On plan today, restarted c25k getting ready to head out for week 2 day 1, despite TOM making me an almost insufferable crabby patty, luckily I could hide in my cubicle most of the day, I always feel better when I get home anyway

Best to all
