Cinnamon water for weight loss????
has anyone heard of using cinnamon water ( water boiled with a few cinnamon sticks) to aid weight loss. I have been using it for the past few days and i think it is helping me regulate my hunger. Just wanted to know if anyone has tried it...A friend of mine recommended it. she attributes majority of her weight loss to it....altho she said she was calorie conscious too. what do u say, guys!!

Do you know if you can throw anything else (like an apple) into the water or if it has to be only cinnamon sticks and water?

I haven't heard of cinnamon water, but have heard of cinnamon suppliments (pills with cinnamon in it) because cinnamon helps decrease the blood sugar spike after you've eaten (I believe is what I read on webmd) and decrease inflammation, etc. (here's a link to webmd http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-su...guide-cinnamon and also http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supple...SIA%20CINNAMON

It's probably good even if all it does is make you drink more water...

I am normally a coffee drinker, however have been sipping apple cinnamon tea (I found it at Walmart) and it seems to stave the cravings for sweets.

I love that idea... cinnamon water. Never tried it but when I get ahold of a bunch of cinnamon sticks I think I will. Couldn't hurt and I heard it helps balance the blood sugars.

If you have a juicer, try this:
Juice 4 carrots and stir in some cinnamon. Drink up. It actually tastes like Thanksgiving in a cup, and it's amazing for your health!

I also read something about cinnamon's weight loss aiding and anti-inflammatory properties. I haven't tried cinnamon water, but I have begun sprinkling some cinnamon onto yogurt or fruit. Whether it actually works or not, I can't really tell, but it tastes great either way, so my thought is why not.

cinnamon supplements tend to be the new trend lately, although I forgot why...LOL...something tells me it was for cholesterol but I may be wrong. Either way it probably tastes good and isn't bad for you, so if it is helping you not have cravings more power to you!! I just don't think it would be something I enjoy drinking.......
