  • Getting up with the mindset that today will be totally on plan. I need this!

Last night I was looking at old threads that I started. It's interesting, since I'm still saying the same things, 5 years later LOL. I found a thread by this same title, and found it uplifting, so I thought I would start it again. We all make choices every day, many of them good. Lets have a spot to share them.

    Join me?
  • went to the gym and had the workout. i literally had to force myself out of bed, in the car, in the gym and onto a machine. But once i started, boy oh boy...did i have one of the best workouts today. i am so glad i did it...
  • I bought another one of those wonderful cantaloupes from the farm today. This time I came home and immediately offered some to my DS so I wouldn't gobble it all. He said, "later" so I'm on the hook now for not eating the rest of it.

But seriously, later?? I can't imagine being presented with something scrumptious as a kid and not wanting to eat it NOW. Hopefully this portends well for his adult weight... He's a slim kid now; hopefully that continues.
  • Great thread, newleaf123,

One good choice I made today was to take the calcium pills that I don't like to take!
  • I don't know why I'm so willing to stray off plan. At Wal-Mart, I actually pointed my cart at the candy aisle. I actually contemplated. Then I came to my senses and turned my cart back around.
  • One good choice I made today was to look-up the calories for everything I ate and post them on an online calorie-counting site. (It's my first day of calorie counting.)
  • Chose to do my exercise program, could easily have blown it off.
  • Didnt eat a bag full of chips that are in the house....
  • Accepted an invitation to go bike riding tomorrow even though it will be a real challenge for me.
  • I was doing the classic couch potato and I thought "nah, not doing anything today, I have been working hard lately." I ended up suddenly disagreeing with myself, getting up, and doing the workout! It was like a moment of "hey, I have been working hard lately, so I have to keep up!"

I am getting much better at disagreeing with me.
  • Took a walk/hike today at a beautiful park and ate healthy all day
  • didn't eat a bag full of chips or a pint full of ice cream even though I know that ish is in the house!
  • Today we unearthed the recumbent bicycle. Time to ride!
  • I chose Trader Joe's grilled chicken over Kentucky Fried Chicken! OH, and I left my desk to go to the gym at 5PM, then went back to my office and finished up some work that had to get done. I feel so cheated when I don't get to work out because something happened at the office that day!
  • I went for a walk, and went to bed at half past nine last night. I've been so tired! Also, I ordered a protein supplement. I'll see how that helps, or doesn't.
Off to do squats now that Kid3 is leaving for school
