I just wrote out a lower body gym routine, in preparation for going to the gym for the first time since June.

I brought my lunch to work today. I'd gotten into a bad habit of buying lunch. Bringing lunch is better for my budget and controlling caloric intake.

I got back to my upper body weight routine. I hadn't done it in almost 2 weeks due to vacation and then just generally putting it off. And, that old thing of the longer you put something off, the harder it is to pick it up again, was becoming so true...

So when that little voice said, "tomorrow" I nipped it in the bud and said "today".

1. Got right back at it today, after sabotaging myself yesterday.

2. Went to Asian grocery store and spent $9.45. They only take credit cards for > $10. So I bought a pack of mango candies at the register and DID NOT EAT THEM ON THE WAY HOME. In fact, I just threw it in a drawer and will give it to my kids as a treat on the first day of school.

I had planned-for martinis last night and it didn't lead to binging or otherwise going off plan. A nice (rare) treat!

I ate vegetables and not white bread when I had the chance (and was feeling a bit tempted). Yay for veggies! :)

Totally OT, but just so you know stores CANNOT set a minimum limit on the amount you spend on credit card. It violates their agreement with the credit card company and you can report them and they risk losing their Mastercard/Visa/Discover privilege.

Interesting; I didn't know that! And, I looked at the candies today; they were past their sell-by date! Double-whammy. I tossed them in the trash.

I went walking at a mall today and got peckish. I also needed to get off my feet for a bit as my ankles were really starting to hurt. I made a beeline for the Mediterranean place in the food court, had some hummus, a pita and a bottle of water. So really, I made three good choices. I went walking. I had a low calorie snack with water. Last, I paid attention to my pain level and rested when I needed to.

Passed on wine tonight and also passed on bread again (please people, stop shoving white bread at me!).
