We have a loop that goes down down our property and up our neighbors', or vice versa, it's a little under a mile and definitely a challenge. I like to look at the elevation on the run keeper after a walk, also motivating!
Funny that you mentioned the elevation as I also like to look at it after a walk - one hill around here has an elevation of 64 metres (209 feet) and that's only about 3/4's of the way up as I take a turn off there - it's a dead end street so there is definitely no motivation for me to get to the end lol.. that would be close to the worst one though (although the others are all similar in height) so I really shouldn't complain.

I bought a treadmill this afternoon, I've been looking for a second hand one for a while as I didn't want to spend a fortune only to find out that I don't like it. I got a great buy on a heavy duty one and the guy even delivered it for me which meant that I've now had two walks today - one with the dogs this morning and another on the treadmill tonight. I'll still try and walk outside with the dogs when I can but I've often had to walk at night and even though I have the dogs I don't feel safe as part of the area that I walk in is a rural area without street lights or foot paths etc so the treadmill means that when I get home from work late I have no excuse not to walk!

Bindi -- that's exciting that you got a treadmill! I love mine, it is so convenient!

Today's good decision: All the leftover snack food from the weekend went bye-bye into the trash (with soap and water on it). The unopened bag of Fritos went into my husband's snack cabinet.

I feel like we ate like "normal" people over the weekend. Small amount of snacks, mostly healthy foods, no overeating. It is easier to face snack foods in a group, harder when I'm alone and I didn't want to put myself to the test.

I think you did great Mrs Snark, my good choice was not buying Halloween candy tonight for the trick or treaters we never get, we have our treats on the weekend and pretty much follow Chris Powell's idea of eating up your treat and not having leftovers, so t actually looked when I was in line and looked and decided bringing chocolate in the house during the week is not a good idea.

Of course my other good choice was bundling up and heading to the rail trail for my c25k, starting to come up with a plan for when I'm done with the program, want to keep jogging at least 3 times a week.

My good decision for the day: I didn't throw my water bottle through my TV when I missed a sub-30 5k by 6 seconds.

I had *IT* today, the magical *IT*! If I'd known I needed to go faster in mile 1 or 2 or 3, I totally COULD have, but I thought I had the pace right! Then suddenly I'm in the final 10th of a mile going at an 8:50 pace and the clock is running out.

*cry*

OK, tantrum over. Sigh.

My good choice was to do 60 min on the elliptical AND my 1-mile loop around the hilly neighborhood AND an hour of gardening. Beautiful fall weather today

My good choice for the day was hitting the treadmill when I got home, came home instead of going to the rail trail, was debating with myself all the way home about what I was going to do, wait til tomorrow to run, try running with the little dog, decided to take 40 minutes for myself and got in my run, it was a bit more challenging on the tread, for some reason music wasn't coming through the speaker on my phone, kept telling myself, you got this, and I did!

One to go and I will have completed my goal of completing the program by my birthday!

Great job on the exercise NewLeaf!

Awesome time Mrs Snark, looking forward to the day when I'm po'd for that

Best to all

Kelijpa - way to go on hitting the treadmill!

When I go for my lunchtime walk today, it will be 1 month straight. I've walked at least once per day (sometimes twice) every day this month. It was part of my commitment to try and make some healthier choices. So I'm excited about that. I've also been making healthier eating choices this month.

eagleRiverDee that is awesome re the daily walks! I'm excited for you, too!

My good choice today will be to disregard the Halloween candy in the house. I haven't been tempted yet and choose to keep it that way. I am done with the sugar.

Great job everyone! Dee, that's awesome walking every day!

Congrats NewLeaf and Mrs Snark on the candy resistance, I cannot say that, mini Reese's cup, it was a good choice to buy a tiny bag of them...anyway, my REALLY good choice was to go to the rail trail and complete the final workout for c25k!!

I'm a graduate and can now begin my next phase.

Best to all

I'm wearing the first sweatshirt of the season -- Fall has finally arrived here! Husband had a warm, toasty bagel for brekkie to celebrate the cook temps (ohhh the temptation), but my good decision was to have papaya with a lemon wedge and a couple of strawberries.
