HELP! Herniated discs and 30 extra pounds!

I need some encouragement, I think I finally figured out that after 40, I'm 44, I'm going to have to eat lean protein, high veggies, good fats. I've been practically processed food free for over 4 years. I gained 30 pounds by not exercising and stress eating on GOOD food! Now I'm having a time getting it off!!!

I don't have a thyroid or metabolism problem, however, my back IS a BIG problem and some digestive problems...most likely low hydro choloric acid so I'm not always digesting my food well. For that I take a sublingual vitaminB12 every morning.

Has any woman out there over 40 with herniated discs had success just losing the extra 30 pounds???? Please share with me how you reached your success and how long it took!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart in advance!

Discouraged,

No herniated discs, but bulging disc. I lost the weight through diet and walking on treadmill and using recumbant bike. The exercising and weight loss really did help my back pain and the numbness in my toes. When I don't exercise on a regular basis, my back starts getting stiff and I have pain again.
