Default 40-Somethings It's National Splurge Day Challenge, oh Yeah!

According to Holiday Insights;

June 18th is National Splurge Day!

National Splurge Day is a day to treat yourself excessively, to anything you want. And, to excess if you desire. Isn't that a great thing? Maybe, you're on a diet, and that special dessert is too many calories. Maybe, you want to buy a steak, and the budget is a little tight. Toss out the reservations, and go for it today.

Celebrate this day to the fullest degree. Treat yourself to whatever you want and to excess . For, this is a day to splurge. Do so without worry or concern...until tomorrow.

So ladies let's stay OP until June 18th.

What's your plan & What's your splurge?

Yay! I'm really looking forward to this challenge. Thanks for starting it, Sum!

My goals:
1. Lose 10 pounds
2. Exercise at least 4X a week.

My splurge:
Hmmm, still thinking. I'll add it when I do my initial weight on May 1. There are too many ideas going through my head

This would be great if hadn't already been splurging all month!

Seriously, I will take part in this challenge, as I think the May Day challenge is beyond my reach at this point!

I would like to be at 152lbs and exercising at least 3 times per week.

My goal is the same. I want to see the 140's !!! If I just make it to 149, I will be ecstatic. I gained a bunch of weight in 1997 with graduate school stress, and I have never gone back down to my set point of the mid 1990's. If I could approach my 50's near the weight I was in my early 30's, that would so rock!

And I would truly deserve a splurge. I am thinking Spa Day.

I'm in! My first goal is to do much better than the last one...lol. We shall see with the mornings weigh in but I MIGHT make it even...

Goals for this challenge:

1) Cardio 4x's a week
2) weights/body resistance 2-3x's a week
3)keep momentum on my eating. I strive for 80/20 (80% perfectly on plan/20% "treats")
4)under 140!!! I WILL get this as long as I keep on keepin on...

I have no idea what my splurge will be...have to think on that....

Huh I have never heard of this "holiday." Sounds like something created by Hallmark, lol.

My goals are the same as usual.... keep exercising (minimum 5x per week) and stay OP as much as possible. I would also love to add just a little bit of working with weights and doing ab work, so by the end of the challenge I would love to be able to say I'm doing that a few times a week.

No clue on what my splurge might be at this point.

I am in! This will be the first time I've joined in a challenge. My goals will be the same as they always are, but this time I'm putting it in writing!

1 hour walk or 1 hour on the treadmill daily
strength training 3 days a week
keep calories under 1300 daily
lose half a pound a week, for a loss of 3 pounds during the challenge.

I don't know about a splurge - I think seeing a number on the scale I haven't seen for over 10 years would be reward enough for me!

I never heard of this holiday, not sure if I like it since Americans splurging is what has gotten us in national debt and obesity..LOL..but i"ll play along. I would LOVE to be 135 lbs by June 18.....also would like to firm up the junk which right now is a bit more important to me than what is on the scale.

The way I intend to get to this goal..continue Isa gen ix for a while.....two shakes a day, two snacks and a healthy meal......more water....and exercise has been a challenge lately. I think I'm going to do the Brazilian butt Lift DVD program, but really be consistent with it this !

That along with zumba of course!!

Zumba: I hear what you are saying about American spending out of control being a huge issue, but I do not think that is a splurge. To me, a splurge is something you do very occasionally for a special reason. What we have done as a society is constant spending beyond our means--not a splurge at all! I figure if I reach this goal, I have earned a little splurge for me (Plus, I am very good at living within my means 99% of the time, so I can fit occasional splurges in my budget)
