I pretty much exclusively shop at thrift stores. Brands I always hunt for are Old Navy, Coldwater Creek, and Land's End.

Ditto on the Coldwater Creek and Land's End. Reitman's has some nice business stuff too, and I've found some cute dresses there in the summer. Reitman jeans are great too, if you've never tried them, they are comfy, especially if, like me, you have bulges when you lose weight.

I find clothes shopping a challenge because I don't know how to dress. I need someone to dress me (as in What Not To Wear). I tend to pick out clothes that are probably too conservative because I'm so afraid I'll look like a "wanna-be" (i.e., someone 40+ who wants to look 20 and ends up looking ridiculous). Anyway, I have luck at Banana Republic & Macy's. Everywhere else is hit or miss.

I have so much clothes in my smaller sizes that I can't wait to fit into them again. I shop at Ann Taylor, Coldwater Creek, Macy's and Dillards. I don't want to buy more pants, but need to lose more weight before it gets hot again. Which could mean tomorrow here in Texas.

I have a unique situation which makes it difficult for me to shop for clothes. In 2008, after losing at least 5 bodies in my lifetime, I had Around-The-World (body contouring) surgery where they cut the excess 7+ inches of loose skin from my abdomen, did some lipo, and lifted my booty. I am built somewhat similar to a man in that I have wide shoulders, a large chest (with small boobs), and a straight abdomen with no waist line. I say all of this because I now I have to wear junior jeans and women's or larger size junior shirts. I shop at a really nice thrift store about 45 mins from my house that has 1/2 price off everything the last day of each month. Sometimes I find really good items there. I also enjoy shopping at Belks clearance racks with a coupon. I am 48 so I have to be careful not to buy clothes that make me look like I am trying to be too young or too old. It is very difficult when shaped like me.

Firegirl - I am built very similarly to you. I try to buy junior girl's jeans, but where do you find ones that aren't so low cut? I'm not a teenager, and I just want to be able to bend over safely, without showing the world my business!

I wear the low-cut ones mostly because they are more comfortable not touching my surgery scar. I do wear regular bikini panties though (at least they aren't granny panties) and if I bend over, they just have to look at those. LOL

JCPenney of you have one has junior jeans that are not so low cut. Here they have had three height's of the junior jeans. Hope that helps.

I like Kohl's, Macy's, my faves are LL Bean and Lands End, ESP. LL Bean, I love how their stuff lasts. I like being able to try different brands and seeing what flatters, that's the beauty of the department store. Cabela's has nice stuff, too, Columbia, North Face...explore, enjoy!!

I wear plus-size clothes (size 20 top, 22 bottom) and just got a bunch of very flattering clothes at Dressbarn. They also have standard misses and petite clothing. They are affordable, well-made and I love the fit. Their wrap dresses for Spring are AWESOME!

I also have my eye on Igigi (Sizes 12-32) and Kiyonna (Sizes 10-32) for new purchases... but they are more spendy, heh!

Nordstrom, Macy's, I can't wait to be small enough to shop Boden. I love their style!
