Default Today I want to eat :( Help! Need Motivation

It's raining out, gray and gloomy. Today I want to eat . I am one week into my journey and I've done really well. I kept my drink more water, exercise & eat well promise. I didn't weigh this morning because I was afraid to. I need
for those that have been at this for a while to tell me WHAT KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED?

This quote keeps me motivated: Weight loss is about commitment; it's not about motivation. You have to commit to it like you commit to taking a shower or going to work every day.

Motivation comes in waves and if I waited for motivation, I would probably only stick to my plan a few times a year SO, I remind myself that I am the type of person that remains committed to things whether it's to my family, my job, my friends etc and now my "diet".

What motivates me is wearing my too-big jeans around the house. Most people would say they wear tighter clothes, to motivate them to do better, but I find the opposite is true. Wearing tighter jeans reminds me of how I always felt before I lost some weight - squeezed into something that's not comfortable. When I wear my too-big jeans, I'm reminded of the weight I've already lost, and that makes me feel motivated to keep going. At any time during the day, I can pull the waistband away from my stomach and see my progress. Might sound crazy, but that motivates me every time!

I suggest a competitive team. Do you like volleyball, softball, anything like that? Look up your local intramural sports teams: there should be all kinds of beginner teams. Heck, try something new, you might like it.

I've found that 1) in the heat of competition you get a crazy magical boost of endurance and strength, and 2) you are less likely to fall off the wagon when others are depending on you.

Hi, I am new on this forum but wanted to add to your motivation theme. I would try to analyze why I want to eat. Is it the weather? Is it because I feel I deserve a reward for something? Is it because I exercised so much, I truly am hungry? Once I figure it out, I am so proud of myself that it usually motivates me to stay on track. Good luck with your efforts and never give up, never!!

Default warm your cockles !

if you are hungry then eat something warm and filling, sometimes we need that bit more. If you are just craving then i suggest a hot chocolate drink or munch on banana chips, raisins and dried apricots and then just ONE square of chocolate, it flicks the switch in my head. Also get the music on loud and have a mad ten minutes of mad dancing it will make you laugh at yourself and put you in a better frame of mind . Stay strong chick it will pass i promise !
