Where do 40 somethings post?
So, I'm pretty new here, and am surprised to see the lack of activity at the 40-somethings forum. I am 44, and most of my friends in the same age range need support in weight loss. Where do other 40-somethings post?

Hi! Well, we have an "accountability"/chat thread that just doesn't seem to be seeing much activity lately. I'm very frustrated by that because it was very active when I joined the site and seems to have dropped off.
I know people are very busy, but it is SO helpful for me to have an area to be honest and accountable. I usually don't post on the weekends, I try to take a break from the internet, so I know others may do the same.
We really need to have a more active thread. I know there are other areas of accountability on this board, but I just feel more comfortable interacting w/ people in my age range.
Come join in on the thread??

I've been posting in the Featherweights section, as well as on the Weight Training board, and lurking on the Maintainer's and body image boards (I'm seemingly interminably ~7 pounds away from goal). It is difficult for me to find a place where I'm completely comfortable, I have to admit. I am 45 though.

I'm 39...and a half, so I don't exactly know where I belong! I've been posting in Featherweights and Calorie Counters and general Weight Loss Support... Is it ok if I join in even though I'm 6 months shy of my 4-0?

Hi there...I am new to this forum. Trying hard to lose weight and know i cannot do it alone. I have a silly question as a newbie....how did you all get those cool "trackers" on your posts....the ones showing your progress? they all look so wonderful!

Hi Ronnie and welcome!!!! I used to live in KY...Ashland. Is Southgate anywhere near there?
On the trackers....they call them "tickers" here and you can also use signatures. Here is a link that hopefully explains the process.
the Ultimate One-Stop Signature and Ticker Thread - Read here if you have questions!
Come join us in the 40-somethings thread if you're looking for a place!

Hi! have a couple of years to go officially befor this thread, but I generally look through threads and read any new or interesting ones, regardless of whether I belong. I joined this month, and so far that has worked really well for me.
RONIBEAR - To get the ticker you have to post 20 times, and be enrolled for 20 days. I guess it keeps you motivated to keep going.

Thanks for the help ladies! I am happy to say that I would love to be part of the 40-somethings! Southgate is probably about 1 1/2 hours away from ashland, but I've been there several times!
Okay...so to get my ticker i need to stay involved. Perhaps this will help me stay motivated. This may be something really good for me because I am the only one in my family with weight issues...so, no one understands me!
