Default New gal

Hi everyone, I am new to this group tonight and wanted to say hi and introduce myself. The best thing happened to me a few months ago, I adopted my beautiful little girl. I am on the top of the world, but I wish a smaller me was sitting there! About two years ago, I lost 30 lbs and was feeling great, although I had more to go. What can I say? I lost control, and two years later, I am now at my highest ever weight. I am 45 years old, and I need to get on track. I want to be healthy, I want to be strong. For me, for my sweet girl. So here we go again! At 205, headed to 135!

Hello there. I am 45 also and I have been here a couple months. This site has been very helpful to me. I knew I needed support from others to stay on track and be successful and I am really glad I found this place.

Welcome to the group. The ladies here are GREAT!!!

I am also 45 and it was a child (grandson) that was my original motivation. My son never met his grandfather and my mother passed when he was 11. The thought of missing out on my grandson's life was enough to get me started. Now I do it because it just feels so go to get out there and live life again.

Again, welcome to the group, come join us in our weekly 40-something chats.

Hi, Health! Welcome! Join the weekly chat, check out the challenges -we just started one for Thanksgiving! Congrats on the adoption! Children, as CAT says, are a huge motivator for health improvement - I have a 10 yr old son and keeping up with him is 80% of my exercise.
