Default Vitamins I take

I take a multi vitamin and flax oil plus grounded flax on my oatmeal and probiotics, sometimes zinc when I feel a cold coming on, but I am going to be adding a B-complex and drinking aloe gel. I am deficient in vitamins, I try to get them from my food source first, but I know I will need more supplement and have to figure out what it is that I need, cause I am feeling off balance and dizzy alot lately and just not right. Or maybe it's just that I am getting old now at 46 and I am suppose to feel like this. I don't know, my mind refuses to get old, but my body isn't listening.

I don't take vitamins either. I always think it is such a great idea and buy bottles of them and then only take them for a few days.

I've actually re-started taking vitamins (which differs from my much earlier post in this thread!). Lately I've been taking a multi-vitamin, an iron tablet, and a fish oil pill.

Since I was a teenager, I've often been found to be too low in iron, even as most recently as 3 months ago, but not always. So, I'm taking the 1 tablet a day to try to cover for when my diet and the vitamin aren't enough.

And I'm taking just 1 fish oil (I think 3 are recommended in the jar I bought) because I figure that 1 is better than nothing.

The other thing that I've started doing is mixing unflavored soy protein powder in with my hot cereal and that powder is loaded with vitamins, too.

I take a multi, calcium plus D, and iron (I'm always either anemic or just barely into the non-anemic zone, so this is per doctor's instructions).

I've been thinking I should start taking fish oil - seems like so many others here do, so I think I'll put buying some of those on my shopping list.

Fish oil
Flax seed
Vitamin B Complex
and I make an Orange Juice/EmergenC slushy a couple of times a week. Great way to get extra vitamins!

I have been doing this since early October and can REALLY feel a difference

one multi/daily
2 nature's way system well (immunity)
2 Omega 3-6 from puritans pride

I'm a big believer in supplements. All four of us (including 2 kids) have our pill boxes that I fill weekly. The teenager takes similar stuff to mine and the little one gets gummy multi's/omegas and echinachea/zinc. Hubby is taking l-lysine and proline and an aspirin also

Ok, I turned 50 in October, but will answer anyway as this is what I was doing in my late 40s as well:

Women's multi which has extra Calcium and D in it daily

3 days/week 1000 iu of D - Dr has been monitoring D and this is enough to get me to normal range on blood test.

Fish oil -1200 mg daily

Baby aspirin daily

I monitor my calcium consumption and if low for the day, 2 Tums (calcium carbonate) before bed.
