Default Owwww, my insides are rebelling!

I am thinking of putting a big screen tv in the bathroom Ive been spending so much time in there.

How long does it take for your body to adjust to all the fiber?

It helps to build it up slowly! For now, make sure you're getting lots of water.

I have added oatmeal, to help lower my cholesterol, and more vegetables and the multi grain bread. And lots and lots of water, I guess my body is just not used to all the healthy stuff.

Oh, boy. I would recommend taking a smaller dose for a few days, then adding a little bit every few days for a couple of weeks, until you get up to where you want to be.

Don't want to be going too often- you could be flushing out vital nutrients before they're absorbed.

My rule of thumb is to drink a full 8 oz of water every time I have four or more grams of fiber at once. Of course, sometimes I break my own rule and eat like 60 grams of fiber in one sitting without nearly enough water. And then immediately feel as though someone has surgically implanted a bowling ball in my stomach. Ouch.

It took me about 2 weeks to get through what you're going through. Your body WILL get used to it. At the time, I chose not to reduce my fiber but just to power through, despite how rumbly my tummy felt at times. It didn't kill me

I hope your stomach feels better soon. That is not a fun pain. I am pretty lucky and don't get affected much by changing my diet (good or bad)

That is good luck that being good doesn't affect you. However it is nice for me that being bad affects me and makes me want to only eat healthy once I start. If I eat too much fat now it makes me very sick and in the bathroom way too much. I guess that is good because it makes me not want to do it. Also if I eat too much sugar now I actually feel like I have a hangover the next day. Both good motivations to stay on track!!

Hey- I had a sugar hangover weeks ago! I thought maybe it was in my head-lol- but I felt like crap!
Grease doesnt agree with me either. Funny- I was sick a couple months ago- and hubby surprised me with McDonalds fish and fries. Hadn`t eaten that in 6 months or so. Well- its like taking a lazative-lmao. I actually lost 2 lbs that day.
Now whenever the scale isnt moving hubby says "McDonalds??" LOL

Too funny! McDonalds? It must be their particular kind of oil that they use. I guess I better be prepared for the next two weeks of discomfort!!!
