Age: 40

Marital Status: married to Joe for 17.5 yrs

Children/Ages: none

Occupation: Admin

Pets: 2 cats (Sweetie and Tiffany)

Hobbies/Interests: lately remolding the house, vacationing in Arkansas

Height: 6'1"

Eye/Hair Color: Brown / Brown

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: tried in August 09 (lost 7 lbs); restart Jan 3rd, 2010

Starting Weight: Aug 2009 was 305; Jan 2010 was 298

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: not eating out; eating smaller portions; exercise

Following any specific plan: a coo of things that have worked in the past but were to hard by themselves: SBD, calorie counting, read Dr. Oz Diet book and Jillian Micheals Metabolism book

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I feel I'm ready and was really scared at how I felt in Aug 09; high blood pressure, terrible feeling, insomnia, etc.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I feel that I am in a better mind frame to succeed. I know know how it feels to be sick all the time.

Default Hello chicks!

First name: Elizabeth

Geographical location: Central Pennsylvania

Age: 43

Marital Status: Happily Married

Children/Ages: 13 year old daughter

Occupation: Jewelry Artist

Pets: 3 dogs (2 Springer Spaniels, 1 Pug) and 1 cat

Hobbies/Interests: Jewelry design, quilting, gardening, old house restoration

Height: 5’6”

Eye/Hair Color: Green/light brown

Starting Date of Weight loss Journey: Feb. 15, 2009

Starting Weight: 163ish

Goal Weight: 133

Biggest hurdles to overcome in weight loss: I heartily dislike exercising, and I HATE getting hot.

I’m a volume eater. I don’t mind healthy food, and eat reasonably well, but I do love food. I also like wine in the evening, and my willpower to not snack usually leaves after the wine…

Also, we finally redid our kitchen and of course I want to cook in it!

Following any specific plan: Going to do Slim in 6 as soon as it arrives in the mail….walking until then. Also, Barbara Roll’s Volumetrics books are involved.

Working to keep the calories per day at 1400 and exercise 5-6 times per week.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I really hope to have friends and support through this!

Anything else you would like to share with us: Last year I started running (the first time in my life) and ate really well. After 2 months, I had only lost 2 pounds. I was MORE than frustrated! Shin splints (ow) that developed after getting orthotics for plantar fasciatis from running (ow!) gave me a good excuse to quit altogether.

Now I’ve gotten so frustrated and disgusted with myself, and feel like I’ve gotten lax on many parts of my life. My discipline and commitment “ability” (yes, I know this is totally by choice) has disappeared. I want this back in ALL parts of my life.

MOrning! I just started back to 3FCs yesterday. Looking forward to 'meeting' you all!!

First name: Patty

Geographical location: western NC

Age: 45

Marital Status: M

Children/Ages: daughter-22, son-19

Hobbies/Interests: crafts, sewing, surfing the internet, knitting, crochet, reading, love learning something new.

Height: 5'8"

Eye/Hair Color: hazel/blonde

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: 3/6/10

Starting Weight: 200

Goal Weight: 150

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: stress eating, can't seem to tell when I'm full, just keep stuffing it in. Giving up too quickly. Negative feelings about myself-have no confidence in myself that I can do this. And it makes me feel self concious when someone points out that I've lost weight. I also don't like the looks from guys, I'm sure some of you might find that strange but I think that is why I'm hanging the fat, cuase no one will take notice of me.

Following any specific plan: whole foods, more veggies/fruits/whole grains/lean meats

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Well, I don't know. I'm still trying to figure out a plan, I've done this so many times, can't seem to lose more than 5 lbs (and that in 2 wks!!) before I get frustrated and quit. I dont' like limitations, I rebel against them. I know it will take me awhile to "get" what is right for me.

Anything else you would like to share with us: think that's all for now.
