Heat seems hotter when I'm heavier...
 

In the summer heat this year I seem to be sweating bullets. Yesterday in air conditioned buildings , while shopping with my sister and nieces, I was just not able to cool down. Of course, I have never maintained this weight through summer before, it's an all time record for me. I am wondering if the extra 10 or15 pounds this year is what is making all the difference in my ability to cope with the heat. Then I wonder if it's hot flashes, but how can one tell ( my periods seem to be rather almost normal for the time being)

Anyway, how about the rest of you ?

I'm not able to cool off either so I empathize with you! It's especially difficult in the summer but I'm also warmer than everyone else year round. This has been going on for the last ten years and some of it is because of my weight but some of it is also "the change". I started getting hot flashes when I was in my early to mid forties, too, and had a regular period as well. It just didn't seem fair!:p
