49 1/2 and A New Beginning
 

My 50th birthday is fast approaching and I have made the decision to quit fooling myself and make the effort to lose the weight once and for all. I don't expect it to be any easier this time around then it was the million and one times I have attempted it before. The difference this time around is I am tired. Tired of being obese, tired of hurting physically and emotionally, tired of looking in the mirror at an unhappy woman, tired of not fitting into anything whether it be clothes, chairs, booths, rides, etc, tired of watching my life just pass me by. I have had enough and want a new beginning. What better time then just before I enter a new stage in my life - my fifties!

So here I go... On with Project Me! :carrot:

Hi happycat... I too am from NC and quickly approaching the big 5-0. I have about the same to lose - 150 lbs. hang in there! I feel you!
