Default Vitamins reduces binges?

It hasn't been long enough to be sure, but I think on days I take all my vitamins and supplements I don't get the urge to binge on carbs. I take about 10-15 pills a day. For a while I wan not taking any supplements and could not controll my binging. Anyone else have this happen? Maybe since my body is getting the nutrients it needs it doesn't kick in the "starving" mode of hunger.

I haven't read any literature on the subject, but in my own experience I think it does help. I take a pack of vitamins that has about 8 pills (some with fiber). I think the bulk of the pills curbs my appetite.

Well, it's been another week and I've been able to control my binging and have not had anything with sugar added. So I think the vitamins really do help me control my overeating. So there is hope out there! Even if I have to practically gag myself twice a day because I'm taking about 8-10 supplements twice a day. Expensive, but so are cookies, ice cream, knee surgery, new fat-day clothes, etc.

I do think taking supplements helps. I only take 3 pills a day, but I've noticed that when I skip for a while, I get hungrier.

I take vitamins every day. The reason they help with the binging is because your body is getting the daily nutrition it requires. When your body is lacking something, it tells you something is missing. You interpret this for being hungry so you quick, grab a snickers bar or a bag of chips to pep you up a little. This doesn't satisfy what your body needs, so you end up eating more. Since vitamins increase your energy level, you might find some days that you are hungry when you don't think you should be. It's because you are moving around more and burning some of that energy. Keep some fruit handy or another healthy snack to get you back on track. I don't know what vitamins you take, but if they really do seem to be working for you, stick to them. There are a lot of over the couner vitamins that have such a poor absorbancy rate, that your body gets rid of them before theyve even dissolved.
