I am so confused! I think I found my team thread again. For this week. Right? Whaaa! Congrats KittyKat - GREAT work!
Well - I did super crappy the first week of this challenge, but looking at the bigger picture I did great. LOL. I lost a lot last month, and then I went 'totally' off plan the past week but I didn't gain. Well, I thought I did when I weighed in the other day - but turns out it was leftover water weight. So... now I am finally starting on joining you gals in some serious work!
Just went to the gym, felt great. And later tonight I'm going for my c25k run. And I am done with eating off plan foods again also. The petit fours I had this afternoon made me feel so sick, and my tummy is not liking them. My body is teaching me a lesson I think.
Keep up the work, and hope to follow the chat more actively now that I am not feeling so guilty and just wanna hide. lol.
Haven't been here in a few days had a lot of things going on and missed first weigh in... does this mean I'm out or can I still get back on track this week??
my understanding is that you can miss 2 weigh ins, but that if you miss a 3rd you are no longer an official member of the team.
i've got another question!
what kind of exercises do you ladies do? Right now I don't have access to a gym or pool, and I have very little room around my house. I do own a stability ball but I don't know any good exercises. I want to work on building muscle, but I have no clue where to start. Some suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Divine is correct. You can miss 2 weigh ins. Miss a 3rd and you are made an unofficial member Meaning I will count your weight etc but your total will not go towards the team total and you will not be eligible to be the 20 somethings falling into fall challenge biggest loser.
Divine- I did push ups, crunches etc every once in a while I'd go for 6 mile walks etc..but I didnt exercise very often with the first 60 lbs lost. I started this past weekend doing JM 30DS it really doesn't take a lot of stuff/room just the video and 2 hand weights (Originally I used soup cans as weights) are needed and a bit of floor space.) I also bike ride. If you have stairs then running up and down those about 5 or 6 times is a GREAT workout. I know some people on the forum like to shadowbox, Some swim, bike, walk, calisthenics. I am like you I don't have access to a gym or a pool worth mentioning(I can swim for an hr in the one we have but its more like water aerobics and pool pushups LOL) I would say calisthenics are your answer they are GREAT for building muscle. Lift your bed up a few times as a weight or the couch.....pick up your coffee table over your head 10 times or so (its really not easy) when calisthenics get too hard. Grab a chair and do step ups(I really like those). I like to get creative. Hopefully some of those suggestions will help
I went to the gym for 40mins cardio and 15mins 'core' stuff (crunches, pushups - I suck big time!) and then I just went for my c25k w1d3 run. Even though it's raining here. And late at night. Hihi. I can honestly say I am back on track! Yay!
Oh darn. I always forget about Sunday weigh-ins for challenges since it is my habit to do it on Mondays. I'll remember it next week! And maybe it's a good thing since my terrible weigh-in won't drag down the team
So I had a hard time this evening. I got home from work and I couldn't get the idea of a cheeseburger and fries out of my head. I managed to resist fast food, and I didn't go out and get anything....but I ended up cooking 2 small potato skins (from scratch, with fat free cheese) and some tyson chicken nuggets that I had in the back of my freezer. Not exactly super healthy, but it got rid of my craving and it wasn't fast food...so I guess that's something positive.
I also couldn't weigh in until this am, as I was out of town. But hey, I somehow gained 6 pounds in 2 days (vacation food?!?) and I think you will all be glad to not have THAT counted in your results! I am sure its a fluke, but we shall see over the next few days if it goes back down. Wowzers, I know I didn't eat 20,000 calories over my allowed. It would take a lot to gain 6 pounds in a weekend. Must of been A LOT OF SALT in whatever I ate. Pray that it goes away, lol!
If you know you are going to be gone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put freebie in the spot. It makes it easier on the team leads. GOOD JOB EVERYONE this week was awesome. Still waiting on the results from the other team so we can see which team won this week
