Today was week 2, day 1 of P90X for me. Last week in the regular push-ups (on my toes, normal hand spacing) I could do 12. Before starting P90X I had been stuck in the 10-12 area for a few months. This week I have already increased it to 15!
Love P90X. Tony Horton is just the right amount of cheesy. "What kind of soup do you have?" It'll be a little bit before I'm ready to take it on again, though.
15 push-ups is fantastic. GREAT NSV! I couldn't do even 1 when I started going to the gym. In classes, circuits, we usually do them timed for a minute. Seems like you should be able to do just about anything for 1 minute! Einstein was right in his "hand on a stove for - sit with a pretty girl" description of time! Push-ups for a minute seem like and hour to me! But at first I had to do them on my knees and could only do a couple. Now I can do a minute on my toes. It kills me, though. My friend's theory is that women lose a lot of upper body strength when we stop lifting and carrying our kids. I'd look silly carrying my 28 year old daughter around, but it would be cool if I could!
