I just switch my chihuahuas food and after reading the label I realized that my dog - which is a whopping eight (8) pounds eats ~300 calories or 40 kcal per pound. That is like me eating over 6,000 calories a day! What a metabolism!
I'm going to check my dog's food the next time I buy some. My 40kg labrador can sure put away the food though... and is enviably more toned than I'll ever be lol
I'll have to check my dog's food. My dogs would eat me out of house and home if I let them - yet they rarely seem to gain a pound. I covet their metabolism and their never-ending energy, that's for sure!
Such must also be the case for my 7 lb dog and 12 lb dog, not to mention the 80 lb lug. Lucky mutts!
