Hello Everyone! Welcome to the Check-In! Let's make it a great week!
I want to welcome everyone to the Daily Accountability Check-In. Our goal is to stay accountable and on track by posting our daily food and exercise choices. All food and exercise programs are welcome. Consistency is the key to reaching our weight loss goals.
Introduce yourself or jump right in and tell us what you have been doing.
And no, Diana3271, to answer your question from the other thread. I cannot believe it will be August 1st! Where has this year gone? So much for feeling like I'm suffering with this weight loss and lifestyle change? I cannot believe it's already been 7 months! Longest I've ever stuck with it!
I'm incredibly behind in the thread and I won't pretend that I've caught up, so if I ask stupid questions here and there, sorry! Hope everyone has a great week and a great month!
Hi, everyone! I haven't posted on this thread before, but I'm jumping in!
I'm changing my plan a bit because I got to the point that I just couldn't follow my old plan anymore. I hope my changes don't trip me up too much. But I'm watching carefully and am ready to tweak or make big changes if need be.
I've decided to move to one meal a day, every day. (I had been doing one meal a day maybe 3 or 4 days a week and then 2 meals on the other days.) That meal consists of only 1 quart of whole milk yogurt and a serving (not sure if I care about the size of this serving, will have to see) of some kind of fatty meat. Tonight's meal was my yogurt and 4 slices of liverwurst with yellow mustard (was having a crazy craving for it lately). I also had iced coffee with 2 1/2 tablespoons of heavy cream. My daily calorie total was 1250. I think that might be a little too low, but it's a work in progress.
ETA: No exercise today. I am not exercising as part of my weight-loss journey. But I did recently start doing some exercise because I think it's great for other things, like my circulation. Plus, I have so much more energy than I used to! Seemed like a good idea to take advantage of it. I am starting slowly with 45-60 minute walks on tues, thurs, and fridays, while my 7 year-old is at karate and basketball practice. I will probably add some weight resistance at some point.
Let's have a great week! I hope I'm finally down in the 250's for good this week. I didn't manage ten pounds in July like I wanted to, but I did lose 8.4. Not too shabby
Morning everyone! My little guy had me up bright and early! Well, first the alarm went off and it took me a couple seconds to figure out what it was and how to turn it off - how soon we forget! LOL
Scale was kinder than it could have been. Down 1.6 from the start of vacation.
Good morning, good Monday, and good August. So many beginnings!
Weigh-in this morning was 196.2. My July 1 weigh-in was 196.6, so I guess that means I'm down 0.4 for the month of July. Yay?
What a month. High weight was 201, low was 194.2. Whichever way you look at it, it's time to get back on track. July was a month full of my personal pitfalls. Lots of travel (3 out of 5 weekends out of town for at least 1 night.) Lots of emotional upheaval. Part of me hopes for a calmer August (especially on the emotional side) but it's summer. Time to take advantage and have fun. I just wish I was better at having fun and eating well at the same time.

I'm with you on that. July was a hard one on me too - a party, two sick kids, lack of gym time and vacation. I realized that yes, having fun and eating well seem to go hand in hand and trying to pair that with eating less and moving more doesn't seem to work that well, which is kind of sad.
Diana3271 Sorry about your mom's comments about your legs the other day. (I also have long legs and short waist too.) I just don't know why people get like that. They don't even realize they are doing it.
For what it's worth, we think you look great and I'm sure your husband thinks so too! (well, and she does too... she just doesn't know how to show it).
Shellsbrood Hope everyone is feeling better in your home! Nasty stuff going around and yikes on the stone!
BBL for personals! Hubby just got home so I'm joining him in breakfast.
