Default Made it into the 160s!

This is so huge for me! I wanted to break into the 160s last week but didn't because of some bad choices. After my weigh-in (still lost but not enough), I got right back on the wagon and ate/exercised in my program all week. This morning I stepped on the scale - 167.8! Kate Moss said, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." I'm not skinny yet, so I can't tell ya if that's true or not. But seeing that I was in the 160s... I felt like crying and flying all at the same time. I'm smiling like a fool at work today.

I shied away from scales like crazy through high school. (In fact, I'd ask the nurse who was recording my weight on doctor's office visits to not say the number out loud because I "didn't want to know.) So all I know is that my senior year of high school I weighed 172. (And I only know this because my mother, who was also supposed to be turning away, "peeked." So, I am now lighter than I was at my lowest known weight.

This moment makes every skipped Friday lunch with the office worth it. It makes every ache for fast food worth it (which my husband brought home last night from WENDY'S! Grrrr). It makes every minute at the gym worth it. Just wow! I never thought I'd get here. I kept (silently) thinking I'm going to be one of those people who gets stuck in a certain weight bracket. 170 is going to be it for me. Yippee! What a great way to start the weekend!

Great job! I'm getting to the point where I completely understand feeling like crying and flying at the same time. Every pound lost truly is an amazing motivator to keep going and it's great that you feel that way!

Thanks, everyone! :-D InsideMe You're telling me! Luckily, I took over the responsibility of shopping for our office kitchen, so I just stopped buying things that were really tempting for me (and that nobody else really cared about eating). The plus side there is that I can buy those expensive Special K protein bars and eat them at work. Lol, no way could I afford them for my personal kitchen. I also just avoid the break room when they order lunch. I don't want to see it or smell it! Stay strong, girl!

And LOL! I am in charge of the office foods too, which is great. I buy more fruits and salads for us all. We have lunch together and I can just buy low carb foods and am not depending on what's in the fridge. I think it helps me tremendously. I haven't ever been the kind of person to pack my own lunch properly, so that would have been a real challenge otherwise.

Keep it up!!!

Thumbs up

Congratulations!!!!! How exciting! Keep up the good work. I'm sitting here smelling the pizza that my family splurged on tonight! My husband has been very supportive but they were dying for pizza.......the happy surprise on the scale this week(-4.5) keeps me from grabbing a piece!
