What do you eat now that you never thought you'd like?
I'm sitting here eating cottage cheese on whole wheat crackers and I literally just said "mmmm" out loud.
And then I laughed because I NEVER liked cottage cheese before. I suppose it was an acquired taste for me? Who knows. Actually, thinking back on it, I'm not sure I'd had it more than once. The consistency freaked me out.
What foods have you tried (or forced on yourself) that you never thought you'd eat, let alone like?

I have hated all forms of sea food since I was little. Throughout my life, as I've gotten older, I've tried things over again just to give them a chance, but I never seemed to find a way to enjoy fish.
Suddenly, my dad (who has been cooking most of my dinners for when I'm done exercising with mom every night) has found recipes to test on us and I have been enjoying them so much that I actually look forward to fish nights now. He's been able to find creative recipes that make it taste delicious to me and I never thought I would call fish delicious.

This post brings to mind 'I do not like green eggs and ham, I do not like them Sam-I-Am.' Dr Seuss wrote many a children's tale each with a moral. This is one of them. Humor me I have two small kids!
The one thing I never thought I would like has to be hard boiled eggs. Yuk! BUT I need the protein and found that adding some salt and pepper to my egg whites isn't so bad. I do like them now and actually look forward to having them.

Sabrina- I wish someone could get me to like fish! That's great though- it's sooo good for you.
Time- that's actually one of mine too! I used to scrunch my nose up at it but when I tried roasting it one time it was soooo good.
usam yes, I can see the connection!

I actually prefer my salad without dressing now! And I like my baked potato chopped into chunks with either lemon juice or salsa. I used to go through a tub of margarine in a month or two. Now, I've had the same one for like a year!

Potato with salsa is fantastic, I love it . . . not much of a potato fan anymore though, who knew.
What I am loving that I never thought I would, Hummus.

Brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Now I love them, roasted brussels with olive oil and pancetta is heaven sent and cauliflower instead of or mixed with mash, in place of rice, in curries, it's just so versatile I love it!

Plain greek yogurt with high fiber crackers. I also love plain yams...no need for marshmallows or butter!

A big helping of plain raw veggies as the majority of my lunch. I never thought I could feel satisfied for a whole afternoon on that. It's so weird...
